Bayer has named WPP’s MediaCom as their global full-service media agency following a competitive process.The agency network will contribute to driving Bayer’s modernised marketing strategy, with best-in-class data and content integration as a key driver for business growth. The agency will also support Bayer’s ongoing commitment to ‘Media For Good’, ensuring that both companies continue to develop their initiatives and leadership in I&D, sustainability and brand communications suitability.MediaCom will fully leverage WPP’s Choreograph to deliver the expertise and insight required for Bayer to lead the industry in the critical area of data-driven marketing.MediaCom previously worked with Bayer across 65 markets, but this consolidation will add crucial markets such as Germany, China and Russia to its remit and ensure further synergies for both companies. Consolidating the global business for the first time will also deliver enhanced best practice sharing, simpler ways of working, as well as consistency of approach, improved data and reporting.Costin Mihaila, Global Client President at MediaCom and Team Bayer lead at WPP, will head up the account, with full handover in the markets new to the agency taking place as of January 1, 2022. Laredo Taco Company is launching a new six-part video series “Made Right Here Road Trip”, with host Mando Rayo from United Tacos of America on its website, and social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok). To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, the new series trailer was released and the first episode featuring the birthplace of Laredo Taco Company will be released on October 5th, to celebrate National Taco Day. Taco Journalist, Author, and Texas Native, Rayo will take viewers on a Texas-sized taco-tour, taste-testing his way through his personal Laredo Taco Company® favorites in some of the most iconic cities across the Lone Star State. Laredo Taco Company is set to release a new episode every “Taco Tuesday” throughout the month of October and into November. Cities featured include Laredo, Corpus Christi, Houston, Brownsville, San Antonio, and Dallas.Laredo Taco Company will host a screening and viewing party of the “Made Right Here Road Trip” series throughout the month of October in select cities. The first scheduled outdoor event will be held in Laredo, Texas at Average Joes Bar from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5th. Mando Rayo, and Laredoan Sammy “The House” Ramirez, on-air personality, will be onsite for a special meet and greet. Each event is FREE to the public. Anheuser-Busch InBev has launched a global media agency review but has only invited incumbents Dentsu, Publicis Groupe and WPP, Adage reports. The world’s largest brewer spent an estimated US$4.7 billion on advertising in 2020, according to Ad Age Datacenter. It markets brands including Budweiser and Stella Artois globally, as well as Corona outside the U.S.The move comes seven months after AB InBev hired Publicis Groupe’s Epsilon as its data agency of record in the U.S. and a global data partner.

Rocket Mortgage has extended its sponsorship of the Rocket Mortgage Classic through 2027, following a three-year stint as a PGA tour stop. Tournament officials say the tournament, played at the Detroit Golf Club, will continue to focus on its Changing the Course initiative, a program that aims to end the digital divide in Detroit by making data-driven investments into the city and philanthropic partners that assist in providing technology, internet access and digital literacy training to residents. Charitable proceeds raised from the 2020 Rocket Mortgage Classic totaled more than $2.7 million, surpassing the $1.2 million that was raised from the 2019 Rocket Mortgage Classic. More than $3.5 million of the proceeds were invested directly into Detroit and southeast Michigan-based organizations.
