Lead Editorial Coordinator
Janet makes sure that Portada’s editorial content exceeds the high quality standards of the savvy brand marketers in the Portada network. She also manages the relationship with Portada editorial contributors. Janet has worked as editor and translator since 2013. After graduating with honors when receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in English literature, she began working as a book reviewer for Expansión, the leading business magazine in Mexico. She has also worked as editor of young adult literature for publishing houses like Planeta and Penguin, and she’s the author of a book of short stories. She’s in the process of getting her MA in English at McGill University. Her interests include arts, good food, and her 8 pets.
Operations & Marketing Director
Isabel manages Portada’s daily operations, including the Portada Council System, event logistics and marketing. Her very strong organizational skills are based on her prior experience in the management consulting industry. Passionate about marketing, sales, innovation, entrepreneurship and new business development, she holds a BA in International Relations and an MBA focused on Marketing, Strategic Planning and Operations.
In her free time, she loves learning new insights, sharing knowledge and creating great experiences with family and friends. She is a foodie, too!
Brand and Sports Marketing Board Chair
Ward leads the Brand Star Committee and Sports Marketing Board, two units of the Portada Council System. He is a Partner at Pitchwise Holdings and Chair Emeritus of the Stanford Athletic Board. Ward previously worked at Verizon, SAP, Google, Mertado (acquired by Groupon) and Harrah’s Entertainment in product, business and marketing leadership roles, connecting the worlds of technology and entertainment. Ward is an adjunct instructor at Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (the d.school), where he developed and teaches the course, “Testing at Scale: The Sports Fan Experience”. Ward graduated with degrees in both Economics and History (with Honors) from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard University.
Leslie holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Monterrey on the international studies a master’s degree in International Business Administration, with specializations in Marketing, Administration and Information Technology, from Schiller International University in Heidelberg, Germany. She has solid experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing and Public Relations. For the past 6 years she has organized various events in Japan, Korea and the United States, Germany. She is an Internationalist, Multilingual, a dedicated mom and passionate about helping others to develop their businesses. In her free time, she enjoys jogging, reading, cooking, wine tasting and spending quality time with her family and friends. She is sociable and outgoing.
Travel Marketing Board and Brand Star Committee LatAm Chair
Trip Barrett is Chair of Travel Marketing Board and Brand Star Committee LatAm. Both are units of the Portada Council System and are comprised by brand marketers representing leading companies in the Americas. As CMO and Head of Tourism, Trip leads the Marketing, Public Relations and Communications efforts as well as develops Signature Events and Promotions to drive Domestic / International Luxury Travel and Residential Demand for Bal Harbour. He is a Global Brand Management and Business Development Leader with extensive experience in Hospitality, E-Commerce, and Entertainment Industries. He has lived in 9 countries on 4 continents and is an avid traveler who still gets that sense of excitement before beginning each trip.
Brand Relationship Manager
Celeste is responsible for the relationship with brand marketers in Portada’s Council System. She joined Portada’s team in 2013. Since then, she has been working as an editor for Portada’s English-language website and compiling information for Portada’s Databases. She moved to Buenos Aires to study Scientific, Technical and Literary Translation in English. She is currently living in the Belgrano neighborhood. Celeste is very outgoing and sociable. She enjoys travelling abroad, especially if she has the opportunity to meet new people and put her English skills into practice.
Marketing Innovation Editor
Mark A. Browne is Portada’s Marketing Innovation Editor. He is a bilingual (English-Spanish) writer, media relations manager, and content creation professional with an established record providing journalism, copywriting and analytical content services to major publishers, PR agencies and businesses in the United States, Latin America and Europe. His award-winning career as a reporter and editor includes daily and weekly newspaper experience and freelance writing for major print and online publications.
Brand, Speaker & Event Coordinator
Graduated from Universidad Anahuac Mexico, Lillian is passionate about event organization, public relations and customer service. She obtained a diploma by IMPULSA’s “Leadership in Social Commitment” program, also by Universidad Anahuac. Lillian is an adventurous person who likes to discover new places and challenges every day. She likes to share her experiences and spread her positive energy to cheer up others. She always tries to improve as a person and to share moments and knowledge with everyone around her.
Ximena Cassab Dietiker
Editor and Writer
Ximena is a Swiss-Mexican journalist based in Mexico City where she specialized in business, and travel topics. Graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), she has worked as an editor at the magazines Expansión , Aire and Accent, from Expansion Group. Currently she is working with different media in Spanish and English independently. She is a passionate traveler who does not miss the opportunity to see a new place in the world.
Business Intelligence/Account Coordinator
Estefania’s superb analytical skills are the backbone of Portada’s drive to provide top notch processes and content to its partners. Passionate about solving problems, always with a positive attitude. She is in love with international studies, process development, and strategic planning; enjoys meeting new people, sharing ideas and philosophies. Her studies in International Affairs, Law, and Project Management help her appreciate differences between cultures and the power of diversity. Her positive and caring attitudes are contagious. She is an adrenaline junkie, a nature lover, and an empowerment enthusiast.
Job plays a crucial role in the growth of Portada’s website architecture. He has a unique knowledge of both programming and design. With over 12 years of experience in visual communication. He has worked with diverse types of clients, fulfilling their design needs from logos and brand design all the way to comprehensive marketing campaigns. He adds a minimalist and elegant style to each design, and he spends his free time watching cult films and listening to podcasts.
Prior to launching Portada in 2003, Marcos worked in both the media and finance sectors. He occupied executive roles at the Spanish edition of The Wall Street Journal, in Spain’s newspaper Cinco Dias and at SwissRe. He is an MBA, and a CFA. Marcos is passionate about everything related to New York City as well as architectural and graphic design history. He also loves to play tennis.
Abigail studied visual communication & design. Her love for branding and packaging design is a huge asset for the Portada brand. Abigail’s experience includes retail store product production. She enjoys working at home with her two cats and loves to pay special attention to small details in design. A beachlover, she likes traveling to places where she can enjoy nature. Another one of her hobbies is to film make videos about her travels with her husband.
