Financial super app Inter&Co announced the appointment of Kaio Philipe to the role of Chief Business & Marketing Officer.  With executive stints at Baidu, Bloomberg, Google, and Kayak / OpenTable, Philipe joined Inter at an inflection point.

A trilingual Latino executive with senior leadership experience at global Fortune 100 companies.  Philipe will oversee all growth, marketing, and communications at Inter&Co.  Most recently, he co-founded and served as COO / President of Bloomberg Linea, a new multimedia company under the Bloomberg brand to serve Latino audiences (Check out this Portada interview with Philipe when he was at the helm of Bloomberg Linea).  In three years, the platform grew to nearly 100 employees across 11 countries in the Americas. It scaled its audience from zero to seven million unique monthly visitors, 1M+ social followers, 10 million monthly video views, and 600,000 subscribers.

Philipe’s prior roles included Global Director for KAYAK and OpenTable (Booking Holdings), where he led multi-million-dollar P&Ls and product expansions; Search Engine Project Manager for Baidu, the largest Search Engine Marketing company in mainland China and second largest globally; stints at Google and Standard Chartered Bank, where he worked in structured trade finance; and Citibank, where he began his career in Equity Research. Philipe’s has earned several industry recognitions, including Digiday’s Leader of the Year for his influence within the Hispanic and Latinx communities, serving as Board Vice President for the International News Media Association and as an Emmys® Judge for the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
