Finalists will consist of the top three most-voted nominees per category. Portada's Award Jury will
cast the final votes, and winners will be announced at #Portadalat's Award Ceremony on June 8, 2017. The Award Winner with most votes of the 12 categories is the 2017 Grand Winner.

Gary Milner is currently driving digital marketing strategy at Lenovo, with a key focus on optimizing and improving the execution of digital media buying globally. He is an experienced all-around digital executive with over seven years of digital experience, including set-up of the Lenovo ecommerce marketing capabilities, and, more recently, digital brand marketing activities. Activities have spanned from branding to ecommerce: digital media buy platforms (RTB for video and social)), SEO, SEM, affiliate marketing, TV buying digitally (Google TV ads), display advertising, and measurement systems on both the media and site sides. Milner is an experienced conference speaker and panelist, spanning iMedia, OMMA, CMO, and keynoted programmatic conferences last year as far flung as India, Australia and China.
∙ Longer-term experience for Milner ranges from corporate business intelligence, dealer management, U.K. direct-marketing management, international product concept feasibility analysis, brand management for ThinkPad in Europe, global launch marketing for ThinkPad, and global digital marketing for Lenovo. During his free time he loves concerts, plays, and watches soccer and golf, and enjoys reading as well as a good movie
Diana is responsible for leading the strategy for Marriott International in the areas of brand marketing and digital for the Caribbean and Latin America. These activities include the activation and communication of the Marriott Rewards program for the region, planning and execution of marketing and digital campaigns for Marriott’s Brand portfolio, as well as the activation of field marketing support for the hotels in the market.
In the past, she served as head of Global Brand Marketing Director for DoubleTree by Hilton, a position that earned her the award of Gold Adrian Awards (HSMAI) – in multiple occasions- and Hotel Magazine and PR News Social Media Icon Award, and in 2015 was named one of the Top 25 Minds in Hospitality Sales and Marketing by HSMAI.
Diana holds a B.A. Degree in International Studies from Georgetown University and an Executive MBA from Florida International University.
Montserrat was born in Mexico City and hold a B.A. Degree from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in Business Administration, with a Marketing Specialization. With 15 years of experience in marketing and strategic alliances, she have had also several positions like strategic planning, business intelligence, advertising, public relations, promotions, sponsorships, digital marketing for local and international markets. She joined the company 2010.
As Senior Marketing Manager, Montserrat is responsible of the upgrades between vacation property products, leading marketing campaigns and customer experience. Mother of two baby girls, she speaks Spanish, English, German and some French. She likes to travel and spend time with her family.
Since 2014, Luis Perillo is VP, Sales & Marketing, Caribbean and Latin America – Hilton. With over 25 years in hospitality, he is responsible for driving the sales and marketing strategy at managed hotels in the region. Perillo joined Hilton in 1995 as Director of Sales and Marketing, and since then has served in regional sales and marketing leadership positions, as well as operations roles including Resident Manager, Hilton São Paulo Morumbi; General Manager at a former Hilton in Venezuela; and most recently General Manager, Hilton Bogota. Perillo holds a BS in Hospitality Management from Florida International University and is fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese and Italian.
Claudio Zboznovits, Vice President of Global Sales and Business Development, joined AMResorts® in 2016 to support AMResorts’ rapidly expanding corporate structure. Zboznovits is responsible for leading and executing the company’s strategic sales plans within the U.S., Canada and international markets.
Zboznovits strives to establish and maintain relationships with executives and buyers in the hospitality industry, across all markets, to create a stronger AMResorts’ footprint in established and new markets as inventory continues to grow.
With over three decades of industry experience throughout the U.S., Canada and Latin America, Zboznovits’ international market expertise proves a great addition to the executive team. Before joining AMResorts, he served as Corporate Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at BlueBay Hotels & Resorts, driving the company’s commercialization, growth and profitability strategy across key market segments. Prior to that, Zboznovits served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the U.S. and Canadian markets at Barceló Hotels & Resorts where he was responsible for the development of sales/marketing strategies and tactics in North America, driving increased revenue and production to Latin American properties. Additionally holding various senior executive positions for U.S. and Canadian tour operators, his professional experience also includes managing contracting departments with a specific focus on Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America, as well as destination inter-government relations.
Zboznovits studied pre-med Psychology at the University of Georgia, earning an equivalent degree in Hotel Management through the Sheraton Corporation Executive Program. The prestigious program is affiliated with the Universidad Madre y Maestra in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and Cornell University.
Rafael L. De Azua
Rafael De Azua is an experienced marketing and strategy leader with Global CPG and Consulting experience. He currently leads Media and Digital in the Latin America Region for Coty’s Luxury, Consumer Beauty, and Professional Divisions. He is based in Miami and reports to Alison Keith, Global VP of Media in London.
Previously, Rafael held various Brand Management positions over 6 years in Procter & Gamble (P&G). He managed the Gucci, Lacoste, James Bond, Christina Aguilera, and Gabriela Sabatini brands in 23 Latin American countries and the Travel Retail Channel in North and South America. He also led all media for P&G Prestige Fragrance Portfolio in Latin America, including Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Hugo Boss and Lacoste. In his prior roles in P&G, Rafael launched Oral-B toothpaste (Crest in the US) in Latin America, Europe, India and Australia; where he developed holistic marketing campaigns for the Pro Health, 3D White, and Complete brand lines. Prior to joining P&G, Rafael was a strategy consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington DC. He also served as a Naval Officer and deployed twice to the Arabian Gulf. He holds MBAs from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York and Queens University in Ontario, Canada; and received his bachelors from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Rafael is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Mike Tasevski has been an accomplished senior business leader with a track record of advancements and accomplishments thru a very diverse career path involving a unique variety of business verticals; Restaurants community/Loyalty vertical/Sports industry and the banking community for over 25 years. Mike is currently overseeing the US landscape as Senior Vice President of US Sponsorship, MasterCard’s largest sponsorship territory. Mike has also held roles within MasterCard Canada as a Senior Business Leader on the Issuing Account team as well as the Technical team of MasterCard Canada and also managing the 2nd largest issuing account and Canada’s largest retailer.
Additional key accomplishments, Board Member The Ontario Restaurant Association, chosen as one of Toronto’s Top Restaurant owners, Official Executive Chef to many of Toronto’s key landmarks,NACS Member ( Petroleum industry), PCATS Committee member (Petroleum Industry), MasterCard Sales Champion Nominee 2011, Winner of the Canada Region Canada Goose Award 2012.
I currently hold the position of Head of Latin America Digital Center in 3M developing digital, eMarketing and eCommerce strategies.
With over 15 years experience in management and digital marketing consulting and negociation, I created the Latin America eHub team in 3M and served as Continental eMarketing Manager in Grupo Mabe and Digital manager in TV Azteca.
Mariana Vázquez Del Mercado
Mariana Vázquez del Mercado has + 12 years of experience in communications mainly focused on the Digital Area integrating it with the traditional channels in the creation of successful brands.
She started working at GERBER Mexico and later became part of the Nestlé Group within the Infant Nutrition Business in which she developed the first Digital Marketing Strategy including Web, RR.SS, Mobile App and CRM programs allowing the business to have direct communication and open conversations with Moms and Healthcare Professionals. Mariana also implemented several digital projects being part of the Global and LATAM teams (Swiss & Chile) in the Nestlé Group.
Chief Marketing Officer, PepsiCo Latin America Beverages. Leads consumer strategy, creative and communications for iconic brands such as Pepsi, 7UP, Gatorade, Tropicana, Naked, RTD Lipton and RTD Starbucks. +20 years of experience in marketing for FMCG, Media and Entertainment and Financial/Technology services industries. Initiated his career at the Procter & Gamble Company and has managed marketing programs for leading global brands such as Disney, Warner Bros., Citibank and BT. BSc. in Economics from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello and MSc. from the School of Management Sciences and Engineering at Stanford University. Father of 3 boys and avid endurance runner.
Diahann Albarrán Smith, a consumer marketing professional with more than 20 years’ experience. Diahann has local, regional and international marketing experience. She began her career at the Orlando Sentinel where she helped launch the Spanish-language El Sentinel and committed to working with the Central Florida Hispanic community where she is an active volunteer. Florida Dairy Farmers recruited Diahann to grow its Hispanic marketing outreach in Florida. She also worked with sister organization the U.S Dairy Export Council, to help market U.S. dairy in the Caribbean. In her current position as Director of Marketing and Partnership Development for Florida Dairy Farmers, she develops and executes marketing plans to promote Florida dairy farmers and the health benefits of dairy. She recently completed an executive MBA at Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business.
Diana Zuluaga is the founder of JET D'OR, a Private Jet Charter company with worldwide operations. As a luxury travel expert, her clients are ultra high net-worth individuals from around the world. Diana has been recognized as a successful young entrepreneur and has been featured in the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) publications. In 2006, she was invited as a leading woman in business to the European Business Aviation Convention in Geneva, Switzerland. This year, she will be a speaker at the Latinas and Power Symposium in the United States.
Diana has a Master's Degree from New York University (NYU) and is a certified life and business coach. She is a member of the Committee of Women Leaders of the Americas by the Organization of American States (OAS). Diana is Colombian and lives Madrid, Spain.
Edgardo “Ed” Carias
Edgardo Carias is a marketing professional with over 17 years of experience in the alcohol beverage industry. He has worked at all levels of the industry from local promotions to national brand management. He has extensive experience working with multicultural consumers as well as total market. Mr. Carias has also led the sports marketing efforts for Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, el Jimador Tequila and several other nationally distributed brands. He is experienced in sports partnerships from a local level to national league agreements, having worked with soccer, hockey, baseball and basketball teams and leagues.
