Quepasa Corporation, creator and operator of Quepasa.com, the popular online social network and gaming platform for the Latino community, today announced an agreement with Prisa Digital, media company in the production and distribution of digital news, and entertainment in the Spanish and Portuguese speaking world. The agreement will bring components of Quepasa's social media advertising technology to Prisa's existing network of European, US and Latin American advertisers. The partnership allows Prisa's sales force to include in their portfolio Quepasa's social media advertising platform — Quepasa DSM. This product offering will be a part of Prisa's new offering called Prisa's Earned Media. In addition, Prisa will represent Quepasa's display ad inventory.
Prisa is at the forefront of a multi-device content distribution strategy offering products and services tailored to the consumption habits of users through smartphones, PDAs, game consoles, and other mobile devices. PRISA's interest in utilizing Quepasa's technology is a clear validation that social media is impacting all facets of media consumption on the web.
Prisa's Earned Media Platform utilizes elements of Quepasa's proprietary Internet advertising software — Quepasa DSM that promotes highly viral advertising campaigns across major social networks. It engages users via sweepstakes or contests, and leverages the simple use of viral widgets and sharing tools to spread the campaign message. This results in personalized advertisements and brand messages received from friends and family, which has a greater impact upon a viewer than other forms of Internet ads.
