The ANA (Association of National Advertisers) Multicultural Conference & Diversity Conference which finishes in Miami today reunited almost 700 people for the currently largest event in the multicultural market. One interesting feature of the 2011 edition is the increased space the Hispanic market has had in the conference program and content. In past editions, the agenda had a stronger emphasis on the African American and, to a lesser extent, Asian American markets. The more Hispanic oriented content was also reflected in an increased attendance by Hispanic oriented marketers.
One of the many things, attendees commented during lunch and networking breaks was the Metro PCS Hispanic advertising agency search. The wireless prepaid card provider, an important advertiser in the Hispanic market, is expected to announce the winning agency soon.
