Borja Perez, promoted to SVP Digital & Social Media at Telemundo

Telemundo Media announced today the promotion of Borja Perez to Senior Vice President, Digital & Social Media. Perez was previously Vice President of Digital Media & Integrated Solutions and will continue to report to Peter Blacker, Executive Vice President, Digital Media and Emerging Business Division.

In his new role, Perez will manage the evolution of the digital programming team from a website portal-focus into a content creation unit for multiple digital platforms.  "Under Borja's leadership, our digital and Social@Telemundo team's track record speaks for itself. In 2011, our digital ad revenue grew double-digit and Telemundo.com had its best year ever in U.S. video streams, becoming the most engaging Spanish-language web site for Latinos in the U.S.," said Peter Blacker, EVP Digital & Emerging Media.
"Borja's expanded role reinforces our position as an industry leader and demonstrates our commitment to provide our clients with the best and most innovative digital strategies and customized solutions to reach their target audiences."

Perez is co-chairman of the IAB Multicultural Committee, a Board Member
of the Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce, an Advisor Committee member of
