The Digital Newfronts presentations start today in New York City with presentations by media companies including Yahoo, Microsoft Advertising and Yahoo!. Organized by the IAB for the first year, the Newfronts create a marketplace to showcase and sell high-value original video content and adjacent advertising opportunities in digital media. Organized similarly to television industry upfront marketplaces, read our coverage of last year’s edition, this weeklong series of presentations from digital content powerhouses promises to entice marketing and ad agency executives to view the latest opportunities available for brands to expand their consumer reach on digital platforms.
Univision Communications is one of the Newfront’s sponsors. Other companies with substantial Hispanic units such as Yahoo, AOL, Google, Microsoft Advertising are also sponsoring the event. Univision Communications presents on Wednesday in Midtown Manhattan. The presentation will showcase the UVideos Platform play and emphasize the affinity of the Hispanic demographic for mobile. Other media companies, which are not officially part of the NewFronst week, are also organizing functions this week. This is the case of the Mundial Sports Network which presents on Thursday May 2nd.
