Hispanic News Agency Launches in U.S.

Hispanic and Latin American media properties now have a new choice in newswires, with the recent launch of Hispanic News Agency. HNA’s Founder and editor Clemente Nicado says that he aims to elevate the quality of Spanish-language journalism in the U.S.

The agency’s content offering will fall into four genres: Interview, Commentary, Features and what the company is calling a “Nota de Color,” or “Colorful Note,” which will feature general interest and slightly off-beat items. The wire is also offering photographic content.

Major themes covered will include: Immigration, Business, Travel and Airlines, Technology, Entertainment, Chicago, Suburbs, Sports and Other.

Content will be available both free-of-charge and paid, and publishers will be permitted to buy the content at package rates.
