In an effort to enhance its users' experience of the site, and also to attract new users, Starmedia is re-launching its women's channel, StarMedia Mujer, giving it more content and a new look.

In re-structuring the web portal, Starmedia took user suggestions into account, bulking up the Fashion & Beauty and Diet & Nutrition sections: “As you know, it's very important to have quality content in Spanish and it's not very easy to find it. In Starmedia Mujer you can find a huge number of articles related to fashion, style, beauty tips, etc,” said Starmedia Vice President Juan José Núñez.

“On the other side, the new design allows the user to have a more relaxing navigation experience. In light colors and with a new navigation menu, the new design offers a lot of advertising possibilities for clients using traditional formats, rich media, advertorial, content integration and the possibility to sponsor any sub-channel of Starmedia Mujer,” added Núñez.

The renovations to the women's portal is the latest in a string of new initiatives by StarMedia, including their new alliance with Hotels.com in launching StarMedia Viajes, a travel booking engine for Spanish-speaking clientele, and a deal with VOY Music to launch a Latin music service, StarmediaRadios.
