Meredith is likely to buy print and digital media company Rachel Ray. Although the New York Post today cites seller RDA CEO Robert Guth saying that the announcement was “premature”.

We asked Patrick Taylor at Corporate PR Publishing in Meredith about any implications the deal may have for Meredith´s offerings targeting Hispanics.

Taylor notes that the deal “does not have any immediate implications.” However, the recent accquisition of Eating Well and the launch of may lead to Hispanic brand extensions in the medium term. “We are exploring ideas in this area,¨Taylor says. Taylor ads that The Meredith Hispanic Ventures group has always had a robust business in this area, especially within the custom marketing arena. We will continue to seek new ways to grow and expand this business.
