Digital media veteran Juan Jose Duran is joining Google – YouTube. Duran started last Monday as Strategic Development Partnership Manager for YouTube in the U.S. Hispanic market. The Tribune Co. announced that Eddy Hartenstein, currently publisher of the Los Angeles Times, has been named President and CEO of the company. He'll continue his role as the L.A. paper's publisher, and will be commuting back and forth to Tribune headquarters in Chicago. Tribune publishes Hoy Chicago, Hoy Los Angeles, El Sentinel (Fort Lauderdale) and Spanish-language website Vivelohoy.com.

CafeMom announced its plans to launch a web destination catering to Hispanic moms in the coming months, to be co-founded by Lucia Ballas-Traynor, the just-departed publisher of People en Español. (Read more: Lucia Ballas Traynor Joins CaféMom).

Lopez Negrete Communications, Inc. has named Alex Falcone to direct the agency’s Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM), Customer Experience Management (CEM), and Direct Marketing (DM) unit. 

AOL Huffington Post Media Group made three key announcements regarding its multicultural strategy: Sheila C. Johnson will serve as Strategic Advisor for Multicultural and African-American Initiatives, Derek Murphy has been named General Manager, Multicultural. AOL Huffington Post also announced that Patch, the network of over 800 hyperlocal news and information sites dedicated to comprehensive, community-specific coverage, will launch “Patch Latino” to serve communities with large Latino populations.

Joanna Mainetto is now leading comScore’s recently established local presence in Miami.

Univision Communications Inc. named Carlos Deschapelles senior vice president of Sports Sales. Deschapelles will oversee the sales of Univision’s expanding portfolio of sports properties across all platforms. He will continue to be based in New York and will report to David Lawenda, president of Advertising Sales and Marketing, Univision Communications Inc.

Lauren Pignataro has joined Magazines.com as Publisher Relation Manager.  Most recently Lauren served as Agency Marketing Manager at Time Consumer Marketing INC. She has also held agency and publisher relations positions at Time4 Media and Barnes&Noble/enews.com. Additionally she has been active in the industry, having volunteered for the boards of both the fulfillment Management Association and XYZ Club Inc.

Lizelda lopez was named Vice President of Ogilvy PR.

CNN en Español has added Dr. Marisa Azaret to its news team as medical contributor.

Antonietta Collins is a new sports reporter/anchor at KUVN-23, the Univision O&O in Dallas.

Carlos Diaz joined HLN's "Morning Express with Robin Meade" as sports anchor. The announcement was made live this morning during the show.
