Viacom has appointed Robert Bakish, former president of MTV Networks International, to the newly created position of president and CEO of Viacom International Media Networks. Bakish will oversee Viacom's Media Networks properties outside the U.S., including MTV Networks International, BET Networks' international channels, and non-premium Paramount branded networks.

Google co-founder Larry Page would replace Eric Schmidt as chief executive in April, taking over day-to-day running of the company. Schmidt will become executive chairman. The outgoing Google boss Eric Schmidt has said he is preparing to sell shares in the search engine worth more than $326m the day after he stepped down from the top job. The share sale would be his first in more than three years.

Florencia Sabatini is the new Google Latin America Apps & Enterprise Public Relations Manager, until recently she worked in a similar position at Buenos Aires based FnBox.

Nevion, formerly Network/VPG, announced the appointment of Leonardo Emilio Gañán as sales manager for Latin America and the Caribbean. Based in Miami, FL, Gañán will work closely with Nevion’s local partners to build on Nevion’s successes in these regions.

Stephen Dove, previously of Google Inc., has joined PRISA TV to lead the project of digital transformation embarked on by Grupo PRISA in its audiovisual operations, both in Spain as well as in Latin America and the US. He will be working closely with the PRISA Digital team, led by Kamal Berwhani, overall Chief Digital Officer of PRISA.

Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi announced the appointment of Verena Sisa as new Chief Strategy Officer. She will be in charge of the account planning for the Hispanic marketing in the United States.

Thaís Braga has been named Convergence Director at Fischer+Fala! Brazil. Braga will report to Pedro Ponto, Digital Integration Director.

Sebastián Zuddio and Ramiro Araujo join Ogilvy Argentina. Zuddio has been named Digital Projects Director and Araujo is the new IT Digital Director. Zuddio has worked for Quick Media Solutions as Account Supervisor and Strategic Planner.

Spain: ITnet Group has appointed Jaime Ferré as General Manager. Ferré will replace Carlos Blanco, founder of the company, who will be assuming as President.

Andrés Visillac joins WebAr Interactive at the creative department. Visillac has worked at WebAr Argentina for a year and now he will be working with brands like Levi´s, Barilla, Dockers, Jasen Cilag Labs, Shering Plough and Microsoft Latam. He will report to Santiago Maiz, General Creative Director and Jaime Durán, Country Manager WebAr Mexico.

Alessandro Visconde and Denise Millan join Dentsu Brasil as new VP of Media and Account VP respectively.
