Lucio Grimaldi promoted to MD Americas at Publicitas

Lucio Grimaldi, current Managing Director LatAm at Publicitas, has been promoted to Managing Director of the Americas as of January 1st, 2015.   Grimaldi led the  Publicitas Latin American team for the last two years, achieving major growth while significantly expanding the Publicitas LatAm, OOH, TV and digital capabilities,  Johannes Braun, MD International at Publicitas and Jörg Nürnberg, CRO of Publicitas, noted in a release.

In his new role, Grimaldi will be responsible for extending the company's sales and marketing operations across the Americas, together with Bruce Brandfon, MD US, and Wayne St. John, MD Canada. Besides business development, especially in the growing Latin American market, further diversifying Publicitas' media portfolio and expanding digital capabilities will be a core focus.
Grimaldi tells Portada that "I am looking forward to this new role and to working closely with our offices and teams in the U.S. and Canada to continue providing top service and growing our relationships with clients, agencies and media partners in the region." He adds that he will continue to be based in Miami. Both the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American markets will continue to be important in Publicitas Americas strategy: "Our team is already focusing on these key markets and we are expecting to continue to expand our footprint in them. Bringing in top talent will also remain a priority." According to the Publicitas release, "Grimaldi has been instrumental in winning several new global media representation contracts with premium media owners."

Earlier this year, Publicitas was bought by German company Aurelius from PubliGroupe.
