Cisneros Media to launch Cisneros Media distribution

What? Cisneros Media will launch Cisneros Media Distribution (CMD), a global distributor of entertainment content.
Why it matters?   According to the company the launch of CMD is "more than a change of name" but a mission to expand globally with the new structure of Cisneros Media.

 Cisneros Media has announced the launch of Cisneros Media Distribution (CMD), a global distributor of programming and content for all platforms.

Cisneros Media was being operated under Venevision International. As part of the Cisneros Media corporate division, CMD represents the products of Venevision Productions, the independent producer of Spanish-language programming in the United States, and Venevision, the Venezuela broadcaster; in addition to commercializing the key independent producers’ catalogues from around the world.

Industry veteran Cesar Diaz will be Cisneros Media Distribution Vice President, supported by an commercialization team that includes Miguel Somoza and Daniel Rodriguez , both in the position of Director of Sales and Business Development; Daniela Montisci , Distribution & Traffic Manager; Susana Lopez  Advertising & Promotions Manager; and Niurka Corradino , Customer Relations Coordinator; along with an administrative staff.  CMD will continue to operate satellite offices in Asia, Europe and Latin America.

“It’s much more than a change of the company’s name, we have a new corporate mission that spans the globe.We are determined to boost our programming catalogue, not only by increasing the output of our affiliated production companies in Venezuela and the Unites States, but by creating a corporate infrastructure to facilitate the drastic buildup and commercialization of third-party products by independent producers – that’s our No. 1 objective in this new era,” stated Cesar Diaz, Vice President of Cisneros Media Distribution.

“Cisneros Media Distribution is determined to remain at the forefront of the entertainment industry as it builds on the sound foundation established by its predecessor, Venevision International, having a strong brand, an excellent reputation and a robust international client-base,” emphasized Jonathan Blum, President of Cisneros Media.
