América Economía and Business News Americas (BNamericas) have merged their operations, creating the largest business information company in Latin America.

The combined publishing operations of América Economía and BNamericas reach, acc0rding to the companies, an audience of more than one million business people and executives interested in Latin America, with coverage in Portuguese, Spanish and English in both online and print formats.

América Economía's print edition  has 350,000 readers, and more than half a million unique users on www.americaeconomia.com, as well as the AETecno and MBA & Executive Education specialized channels. With offices in Miami, Florida; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Mexico City, Mexico; Lima, Peru; and Santiago, Chile;  AmericaEconomia was founded by Elias Selman and Nils Stranberg in 1987.

BNamericas is a business information company focused on projects, investment and business opportunities in Latin America. Founded 16 years ago by Greg Barton, its current CEO, BNamericas is a regional leader in industry intelligence with its range of daily news, data and analysis on 12 industries including mining, oil and gas, electric power, infrastructure, transportation, banking, water, insurance, telecommunications and technology.

Sylvain Chevalier asumió como ceo de Havas Media Group México, la renovada división de medios del grupo que nace en el marco de un proceso de reorganización impulsada por el ceo global de Havas, David Jones. El profesional que trabajaba como director general de Media Planning Group (MPG) será el líder ejecutivo de la nueva unidad.

Según se informó, la reestructuración busca simplificar e integrar las diferentes áreas de medios del holding de origen francés. El nuevo Havas Media Group incluye las marcas Havas media (antes MPG) y Arena, que a su vez incorporan los servicios de Havas Digital y Media Contacts.

La vicepresidenta regional de planeamiento estratégico de Mayo Draftfcb se unió como miembro del Global Planning Counsil de la red, compartiendo tareas con otros seis profesionales de planning de Draftfcb que se encargan de proyectos mundiales.
