Bacardi Limited
has appointed Gianpaolo (Paolo) Perego as Regional President of Latin America with responsibility for leading all operations in the region. Perego will manage the execution of the overall strategy for the Latin American region, as well as the general management of a diverse business comprising 19 countries. In this role, Mr. Perego will also be a member of the Bacardi Leadership Team. The appointment takes effect July 9, 2012.

StartMeApp Mobile Advertising announces the opening of its new office in Bogotá Colombia, as part of its expansion in Latin America and the US Hispanic Market. Natalia Escual has been named office manager for Colombia and the Caribbean. Based in Bogotá, Ms. Escual will be responsible for oversight of all operations, business development and client relations in Colombia, Ecuador, Panama and other Spanish-speaking countries of the Caribbean.

The BBC has named George Entwistle General Director. Entwistle, currently the head of BBC Vision, will take over from outgoing director general Mark Thompson who is expected to stand down in September.

Magnaglobal Spain chief executive Beltran Seoane is returning to the Mediabrands network to head up Initiative Spain as chief executive. Based at Initiative’s Madrid office, Seoane will be charged with developing Initiative’s strategic proposition in Spain and driving business growth at the agency.

Publicis
announced that it has acquired 100% of the shares of NEOGAMA/BBH in Brazil. Also, Publicis has acquired 51% of the shares of the Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH) network - in which Publicis Groupe has already held a 49% stake for many years. To see global and Brazilian management changes

The international media company Bertelsmann is accelerating its expansion in the world’s growth regions with the opening of a new Corporate Center in the Brazilian city of São Paulo. Thomas Mackenbrock, formerly Senior Vice President of Bertelsmann’s Corporate Development department, will head Bertelsmann's new office in Sao Paulo.

French media and telecoms group Vivendi has ousted its chief executive Jean-Bernard Lévy. The Financial Times reports that following a weekend summit of directors and senior management to confront shareholder pressure to split the group up, Lévy was removed from the role with chairman Jean-René Fourtou making the final decision.

Pro Mach, Inc., provider of integrated packaging line solutions and machinery, has announced the appointment of Anthony Colquitt as Sales Manager, Latin America.

Compart has named Sally Gallagher as its Global Marketing Director. She will be in charge of consolidating Compart´s markets in Europe and North America and leading the expansion in Latin America.

The Argentinean Advertising Association has named Patricia Martin as its new General Manager.

Sra. Rushmore
Spain has appointed Marta Palencia as its General Manager. Clemente Manzano will maintain its position as General Manager too. Palencia is in charge of Coca Cola Ibérica account and international projects for Aquarius, MINI and Cepsa.

Cristian Leon has been named Digital Integration Director for McCann Chile. He will be based in Santiago and will be in charge of the digital department.
