Changing Places: Aaron Reitkopf, Steve Long, Ben Jankowski, Eduardo Suarez…

Eduardo Súarez has been appointed vice president of programming for CNN en Español. The announcement is the latest in a string of new appointments and changes, including new talent, branding and shows, taking a sudden departure from CNN en Español’s focus on 24/7 news. Suárez, a former Mega TV executive, will supervise production teams in Atlanta but will be based in Miami.

Profero announced that industry veteran Aaron Reitkopf has assumed the new title of CEO, The Americas.  In this new role, Reitkopf oversees North American and Latin American operations, reporting to Global CEO and co-founder Wayne Arnold.  Reitkopf was previously CEO of kirshenbaum bond + partners, where he worked for 12 years. The US client roster includes such brands as PepsiCo, Johnson & Johnson, Lufthansa, All Saints and Western Union.

Intel announced that Steve Long has been appointed as new General Director for Latin America. The US executive, with IT industry experience, has been working for Intel for over 10 years, acting in several international positions in countries such as Brazil and Mexico. Long will fill in for Jesús Maximoff, who has been the incumbent for almost three years and led the company's expansion process across Latin America. Maximoff will be focusing on some new projects. Jesús Maximoff and Steve Long will be first working together until 2011, when Long will conduct Intel's business operations from Sao Paulo.

Ben Jankowski, the current Johnson & Johnson (J&J) global account lead at OMD, has resigned and will become the global media director of MasterCard early next year. Jankowski has led the J&J business globally at OMD since 2008, working across functional and geographic lines for the J&J account within the 27 markets where OMD has a long–standing relationship with the FMCG giant.

Pedro Cappeletti leaves his possition as Creative VP at Fischer + Fala Brazil. Antonio Fadiga, CEO of the agency, has announced they are looking for a replacement that should be working at January 2011 as the new VP.

Leo Burnett has promoted Fernando Bellotti as new Creative Regional Director for Latin America. Fernando Bellotti is also mainteining his possition as Creative Director at Leo Burnett Argentina.

Ronaldo Nazario de Lima and WPP have partnered to create 9ine, a sports marketing agency. The company announced Marcelo de Paulo as the general director of 9ine, personally chosen for this task by Ronaldo Nazario de Lima.
