Univision has announced that it is launching a new block of programming for younger viewers called Planeta U.
The programming will run from 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. on Saturday mornings and will include programs such as: Dora la Exploradora, Go Diego Go!, and Los Viajes del Inspector Gadget.
The shows are primarily general market shows that have been adapted for Spanish-speaking audiences. The different shows target different age groups— 4-8, 8-12, and 12-16—offering advertisers more targeted audiences for their messaging.
The shows serve distinct purposes as well: The show Jakers! focuses on better relationships between kids and adults and is aimed at the 4-8 year old crowd, Los Viajes de Inspector Gadget concentrates more on Geography and different countries around the globe for 8-12 year olds, and El Mundo de Beakman is a science show targeting older viewers, 12-16.
Planeta U’s slogan is: “Tu Planeta…Tu Vida…Tu Mundo,” or “Your Planet…Your Life…Your World.”
