Telemundo Opens Madrid Office

General Electric-owned Telemundo recently set up an office in Madrid. The office, which is shared with NBC and Universal, has more than 100 employees.

Telemundo telenovelas are in high demand in Spain, where local broadcaster Antena 3 has purchased the distribution rights.

Telemundo novelas, which are also broadcasted online,  have 2.3 million unique users per month in Spain, compared to 0.5 million in the U.S.
