Last Thursday, New York City’s 54th street Hilton played host to Shomex’s Diversity in Advertising career day. Hundreds of job-hunting hopefuls gathered—resumes in hand—to meet face-to-face with many top ad-agency and publishing decision makers.
Among the agencies present were Saatchi & Saatchi, GlobalHue, Mindshare and JWT. Mega-publisher Time Inc. was also present, seeking fresh talent from the diverse pool of job seekers, as were MTV and ESPN.
There were also seminars examining the importance of having various ethnicities represented in today’s media landscape.
