Turner International has appointed Whit Richardson as its new president for the Latin American region. Prior to this position, Richardson was executive vice president of distribution for Turner Latin America. He will report to Turner International president Gerhard Zeiler. He will oversee the broadcaster’s portfolio of brands, distribution, ad sales and licensing in Latin America, Turner’s largest international division. Richardson joined Turner in 1994.
Miami-based multicultural creative agency Alma promoted Jorge Murillo to a role as vice president, executive creative director. In the new role he will lead Alma’s McDonald’s account and co-create with We Are Unlimited.Murillo formerly served as senior creative director and helped the agency bring in nine new accounts over the past two years. He joined Alma back in November of 2008.
After 20 years leading Discovery Networks Latin America / US Hispanic advertising sales, Iván Bargueiras will no longer be part of the company. The executive will leave the company at the end of the first quarter of this year.
McCann Buenos Aires has just formed an integrated female leadership team. The agency has promoted Agustina Siri and Belén Calzone to creative directors.
In addition, the agency has incorporated Carolina Bruzzone as new director of strategy.
Accenture announced the appointment of Ezequiel Arslanian as managing director for Hispanic South America of Accenture Interactive, the company’s digital marketing agency. In this new position, Arslanian will be in charge of developing and positioning the brand in the local market, as well as throughout the Hispanic South American region, and will lead a digital advisory team integrated by Alejandro Gowland, Santiago Greco, Romina Rodríguez And Martín Andrés.
Brazilian agency SalveTribal Worldwide, born out of the merger between LDC and Salve, of the ABC Group and Omnicom Group, appointed James Scavone as the new Chief Creative Officer.
Cassio Moron will be the other Creative Director working along Fabio Saboya.
Ricardo Schreiner is the new Chief Experience Officer of SalveTribal Worldwide.
Renato Fernandez has been promoted to Chief Creative Officer at TBWA Chiat Day. The Brazilian executive will replace Brent Anderson, who took over as Chief Creative Officer of TBWA Media Arts Lab. Renato Fernandez joined the agency in 2011.
A10 Networks has appointed Simitrio Rangel as Regional Sales Manager for Mexico, from where it will continue the expansion and growth strategy of the company.
Mariana Giacumbo is the new Manager of External Communications at Cablevision Argentina. In this position, she will be in charge of press relationship, institutional communication and CSR strategy and sustainability. Prior to joining Cablevisión, she held various positions at large companies such as Banco Macro, Gas Natural and Argencard / Mastercard.
