The Ibarria Media Group (IMG), a publisher of Hispanic weekly newspaper titles in the New York, New Jersey and Miami markets, announced the appointment of Diana Ibarria to the new post of Executive Vice president and Director of National Sales.
“I have become increasingly conscious that our double digit annual growth over the last few years has happened without the single minded leadership of a committed professional, dedicated solely to the sales discipline” said Anthony Ibarria Jr., General Manager of IMG. “Diana`s proven record of success at senior level in one of the very toughest market environments in the economy, make her the ideal professional to take our expansion plans forward, and the results of her contribution will be apparent very quickly.”
Ms. Ibarria will be based in the Miami office and is already actively involved in leading expansion plans both in Florida and in new regions of Hispanic concentration in the US.
DIANA IBARRIA was formerly and for over ten years the President of Standard Pacific Corporation, South Florida.
IMG has over 25 years developed the dominant franchise in the Hispanic communities of New York, New Jersey and Miami with its family of newspapers El Especial, El Especialito and Personalidades, serving a total of 1.7 million weekly readers with 18 newspapers.
