- McLaren – Global
McLaren calls global pitch. The company is conducting its search through a process handled by Oystercatchers. McLaren Automotive is looking for an agency to handle its global advertising as it gears up its bid to take on rivals Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche in the top-end sports car market. The appointed ad agency will be the company’s strategic partner for all of its markets worldwide. The company is setting up 35 dealerships, initially in Europe and the US, followed by the Middle East, Asia and other markets. An agency appointment is expected before Christmas.
- Manchester United – Global
the English Premier Football Club has announced that it will launch its own social network for its identified target of more than 500 million worldwide fans. Brand Republic says MU wants the new network to ”drive engagement with the club’s fans and tap into Asian markets, where Manchester United has a strong following and smartphone use is growing rapidly”. Manchester United has hired SapientNitro, an integrated marketing services company as its global digital agency to handle its digital strategy, digital marketing communications and online experience.
- Lowe Ginkgo / Rexona – Latin America
The Uruguayan agency Lowe Ginkgo has been appointed by Unilever to roll out the new regional campaign for Rexona Women. The campaign will be listened at radios in Chile, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
- Exxon Mobil / BBDO / UM – Argentina
BBDO has been appointed by Exxon Mobil to manage its advertising and creative communication in Argentina. Also, UM will be in charge of the media planning and buying. Euro RSCG and McCann Erickson were the agencies in charge of the account before the pitch.
- CraveroLanis / Molinos – Argentina
Molinos has appointed CraveroLanis as its new communication agency for its brands Granja del Sol and Patitas. The agency has been working with Molinos for its brands Gallo and Cruz de Malta.
- Draftfcb / Bacardi – Argentina
Draftfcb will be in charge of adapting the global ad campaing of Bacardi, “Bacardi Together”, in Argentina.
