The Americas Board is a group of highly regarded C-level executives that share their enthusiasm for Marketing, Tech and Media in the Americas.

The four objectives of the Americas Board are:

1. To provide U.S. and Latin American C-level leaders a platform for high level, informal gatherings.
2. To advance the marketing communications discipline as a key way to connect with consumers throughout the Americas.
3. To discuss major challenges and opportunities in marketing, tech and media.
4. To provide relevant input for Portada content (event programming, digital and print magazine communication).

Marcos oversees editorial and sales. He is based in Portada's NYC headquarters. Prior to launching Portada in 2003, Marcos worked in both the media and finance sectors. He occupied leading roles at the Spanish edition of The Wall Street Journal, in Spain’s newspaper Cinco Dias and at SwissRe. He is an MBA, and a CFA. Marcos is a print junkie and also loves all things digital media. He also is passionate about everything related to New York City and loves to play tennis.

Andrés has many years of experience in contact with many industries around the world. He started his career in Procter and Gamble where he worked in Color Cosmetics (Cover Girl and Max Factor) for ten years launching Cover Girl in Mexico and leading the business in the Latin American region through many distributor partners. Later on Andrés worked for the Mattel Company where he became Vice President for the Barbie and Girls international business with a strong focus in Europe and Asia. Later on Andres ran the Mattel direct to consumer ecommerce business for the US launching Mattelshop.com and overseeing sites such as Barbie Collector, HotWheelsCollector.com and Fisher-PriceShop.com. After Mattel, Andrés worked for Amazon in Seattle as the Product Experience Development, Marketing/Merchandising and Marketplace lead for the Toys Category. After that he worked passionately in L’Oreal to accelerate digital, ecommerce and CRM across four divisions and thirteen countries as CMO of Latin America. Today he leads digital transformation and marketing for Stanley Black and Decker for the Latin America Group.

José María has degree in Aeronautical Engineering and before entering the advertising business he had developed a career in IT.

Eric started his career in the Marketing function 21 years ago. Although he spent a couple of years working for Kraft Foods and Phillip Morris Intl, Eric developed and continue building most of my expertise in marketing while working at Pepsico.His roles have varied during that time span from brand management roles at a single market to category and multi-category roles in multimarkets to his current role, where he leads the Soft drink category for the Latam region.He had the privilege to work as well within bottling operations in Venezuela and Mexico, which has helped him in building a better understanding of the business overall.Eric was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. He is married with 3 wonderful children. Hold a MS of Science in Marketing from the University of Colorado at Denver. He is passionate about American and European football and loves long-distance running.
