Olympusat Holdings, an independent media company specializing in the ownership, distribution, production and technical services of Spanish and English-language networks, has appointed Carlos Lopez as Vice President of Marketing and Communications – beginning May 2017.Carlos Lopez has over 25 years of Marketing and Product Management experience over a wide spectrum of public and private entities in the U.S. and Latin America, working on the agency and client side for brands such as AT&T, Bank of America, Geico Insurance, the Department of Commerce, DHL, U.S. Postal Service, among others. As Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Mr. Lopez will lead and oversee multiple facets of marketing initiatives covering fields as the affiliate, digital, social, product, international, public relations and industry events, as well as business to business projects, consumer and brand strategies.



Ivan Pollard, who oversees Coca-Cola's media operations in North America, is leaving the company as the beverage giant continues to reshape its marketing leadership structure. Mr. Pollard, senior VP-strategic marketing, will depart the company  immediately after six years.





Lori Senecal will no longer be global CEO of Crispin Porter + Bogusky at the end of this year. The MDC Partners' agency will be interviewing for a successor Senecal joined CP+B in 2015.





Jack Morton has expanded its U.S. team with six senior hires, all effective immediately:

Cynthia Kuker joins Jack Morton New York as vice president, senior creative director.

Daniel Macena joins the New York office as vice president, creative director.

Elyse Marks joins Jack Morton San Francisco as an associate creative director, following a stint as an associate design director at George P Johnson.

Colette Crespin joins the San Francisco office as executive producer.

Lauren Lazarus will serve as an executive producer for Jack Morton’s New York and Detroit offices.

Lauren Abernethy will serve as regional account director for Jack Morton Detroit.

Former Rubicon Project CMO Mari Kim Novak has been appointed Advertising Week new president.She will be tasked with overseeing the flagship New York City edition and global sales and marketing as Matt Scheckner and Lance Pillersdorf continue to expand the brand's footprint worldwide.Novak is taking on Pillersdorf's president title and day-to-day operations in the U.S., particularly for the flagship New York business.

Pillersdorf, also co-founder and chief operating officer of Stillwell Partners, will retain his title of chief operating officer and work on production as well as global expansion.


Automaker Ford Motor Co.  is planning to cut 10% of its salaried employees in North America and Asia to cut costs amid slowing sales and growing investments in new technology.The automaker will offer voluntary early retirement and special separation packages to roughly 1,400 white-collar workers in the two regions combined.





Jonathan Schaaf has been appointed chief agency officer at Conde Nast. He will oversee the media company's agency relationships and sales efforts. He was most recently president of enterprise partnerships for Omnicom Media Group, where he oversaw the North America and global partnerships teams, as well as the audience-based programmatic private marketplace.
