descargaLAPIZ appointed Luciana Cani as its new senior vice president, executive creative director overseeing the agency’s creative team. Cani will lead creative output across the full client portfolio including work for Advanced Auto Parts, Allstate, Purina and the Mexico Tourism Board.

Cani has nearly 20 years of advertising experience, with the past nine years spent as a key leader of Leo Burnett Lisbon overseeing creative work for clients including Samsung, Atlantico Bank and the Portuguese National Railway. Prior to Lapiz, Cani helped lead Leo Burnett Lisbon to become recognized as one of the 10 most awarded agencies in the world. Prior to Leo Burnett, the Brazilian-native worked as an art director at leading agencies in Saõ Paulo, Brazil including Leo Burnett, Ogilvy & Mather and Grey. Cani is also a published author and illustrator, with her debut children’s book recently receiving inclusion on the National Reading Plan of the Portuguese Ministry of Education. Her work has gained global recognition including awards from D&AD, Cannes Lions, One Show, Clios, Eurobest and ADCE. Cani is also the only creative director to appear three times at the top of the rankings of the official Creative Club of Portugal.

Cani’s goal to bring craftsmanship to every piece of work she produces is evident in her past projects including Amnesty International’s “Sounds From Torture,” the Lisbon City Council’s “LXType” and the EDP Foundation’s “Brochure Made Entirely Without Energy.”

LAPIZ has produced several award-winning campaigns over the past year, most notably Mexico Tourism Board’s “Snow Graffiti,” which has received honors from Cannes, the American Advertising Awards, the Kinsale Shark Awards and more. The agency’s latest work for Mexico Tourism Board, “Doppelgänger Tourists,” launched just last month.

He has worked with global brands such as Coca-Cola, Hellman’s, General Motors, Dove, Volvo, Nestle, Cadbury, Billboard, Philips and Kraft Foods, among others. He is an award-winning for creative campaigns and has contributed to Ogilvy Brazil’s recognition as Agency of the Year at Cannes.

Seidl is joining Lapiz after the agency collected creative awards in 2013 and was crowned as Agency of the Year in the US Hispanic market at El Ojo de Iberoamerica Festival in Buenos Aires. It has also won new business including RE/MAX, Marshalls and Firestone among others.
