It also will focus on generating new business.Gabriela Venczel has a degree in Advertising from Universidad Nacional de Lomas de Zamora. With an extensive background in media agencies, she worked for OMD and Universal McCann Argentina for top brands such as Danone, General Motors, MasterCard, American Airlines, Reebok, Johnson & Johnson, HBO, Coca-Cola brands, among others.

descarga (1)Mark Read will succeed Daniel Morel as global CEO of WPP digital agency giant Wunderman, effective Feb. 1.Mr. Read is CEO at WPP Digital, a role in which he will continue, and has been chairman of Wunderman since last year. He will step down from the board of WPP as he takes on leadership at Wunderman.Mr. Morel will become non-executive chairman.In his new role, Mr. Read will be based in London but spend time in all of Wunderman’s offices, in particular New York.

image_400x400After nearly six years leading Ogilvy Latina creativity, and after having positioned the agency as the most creative network in the region, Gastón Bigio, who left his role as DGC in Ogilvy Argentina to found agency David, is finally leaving Ogilvy’s regional creative direction to devote himself to his agency.

With an extensive experience in Ogilvy Chile, Agost Carreño led the Latin-American network between 2006 and 2009. He joined Ogilvy’s mexican agency in October 2013 as Creative Vice President. Since last year, he has been part of the Consejo Mundial Creativo.

 

B8X7USJIAAAl0PIDDB Argentina has announced the addition of Bruno Macri and Juan Martínez Cima as creative directors. The duo was formed in 2010 at Young & Rubicam agency, where they worked for brands like Quilmes, DirecTV, Movistar, Alto Palermo, Apsa Centers, Journal Olé and Tulip.

Two The  Miami Herald urban issues reporter Frances “Frenchie” Robles and photographer Tim Chapman are moving on. Chapman is retiring after 40 years at the Herald. His last day is Dec. 31st. Robles, a new York City native who speaks fluent Spanish, has been hired by the New York Times. Her last day is Dec. 14. She joined the Herald in 1993.

 

AOL continued its moving and shaking today with the news that former AOL svp of international Jimmy Maymann will move into a new role as CEO of the Huffington Post Media Group.

Mediasmith, an independent digital media agency, announced  the promotion of Griselda Fernandez to the role of Vice President, Media Director to expand her leadership of the media department, client relations and company culture. Fernandez joined Mediasmith one and a half years ago as a Media Director. During her tenure, she has excelled in managing multiple media teams, adding new and more powerful programs to client efforts, and leading collaborations with creative agencies. Her work was instrumental in securing Mediasmith’s eMusic business, when she presented new and valuable solutions to eMusic during the late 2011 review.

Carolina Rivera is the new A&O Pan Regional Sales Lead at Microsoft Advertising in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Rivera previously worked as U.S. and International Sales Manager at Televisa Publishing and Digital. Also at Microsoft Advertising Lovina Mc Murchy has recently been promoted to GM Global Specialist Sales, Advertising and Online Division, her prior position has been taken by Agustin Nolte who now leads Microsoft Advertising’s Latin American Division.

Maria Badillo has joined MTV’s US Spanish-language network Tr3s as VP, programming and production. She joins from Discovery where she was director of programming and acquisitions for Discovery Networks Latin America. At Tr3s Badillo will oversee programming strategy and original production. “As we continue our ambitious evolution of Tr3s, Maria will ensure that our rich and diversified development slate, as well as our new and established production teams, will all serve the creative vision for the network and our audience. As we launch our new prime-time slot, this is the perfect moment for Maria to take the reins,” said Fernando Gaston, brand manager for Tr3s.

Wyndham Hotel Group has named Luis Mirabelli VP of Development, Latin America. In this newly created role, Mirabelli will be responsible for leading Wyndham Hotel Group’s development efforts in the region, including executing strategic deals in key markets, establishing and maintaining a strong network of multi-unit development partners and strengthening synergies between Wyndham Hotel Group and sister company RCI to help further growth in the region. He will be based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Earlier this year, the company announced an agreement with Hoteles Costa del Sol to franchise three new Ramada hotels throughout Peru in Cusco, Tumbes and Chiclayo. The company also has agreements with two Brazilian-based real estate companies, EmCorp and Vert.

The Brazilean agency Loducca based in Sao Paulo has announced executives changes. Fernao Cosi will be in charge of the accounts as its new General Account Director, Adriana Favaro is the new Media Director. Also, Sergio Mugnaini has been announced as its new Creative Director and Daniel de Tomazo as its new Planning Director.
