What:<\/strong> Luis Silberwasser, has been appointed President of Telemundo Network, to be effective in August. NBCUniversal<\/strong>\u2019s Hispanic Enterprises and Content has announced that television veteran, Luis Silberwasser<\/strong>, has been named President of Telemundo Network<\/strong>, to be effective in August. He will report to Joe Uva<\/strong>, Chairman, Hispanic Enterprises and Content, NBCUniversal and will be based in Miami.<\/p>\n In his new role, Silberwasser will have overall responsibility for the Telemundo broadcast network, including Telemundo Studios. Working closely with the Hispanic Enterprises and Content senior team and Telemundo\u2019s leadership,\u00a0Silberwasser will be responsible for developing and executing the Spanish-language\u00a0network\u2019s entertainment, sports and news\u00a0growth strategy with a focus on increased market share and profitability.<\/p>\n Most recently, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer for Discovery Networks International (DNI), based in London. He previously served as Senior Vice President, Content Group for Discovery Networks Latin America\/U.S.\u00a0Hispanic, where he managed programming, production and marketing for the region’s 15 channels.
