Carmen Torres<\/strong> has left her position as Media Supervisor at 22Squared<\/strong> in Tampa,FL where she supervised several accounts including\u00a0Publix<\/a>. Torres has accepted a new position as Media Director at an agency in New York.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Nielsen<\/strong> has promoted M\u00f3nica Gil<\/strong>\u00a0(photo) to Senior Vice President and General Manager of Nielsen\u2019s new Multicultural Growth and Strategy team, effective immediately.Gil will be responsible for building cross-cultural competencies across Nielsen and its clients. She will focus on crafting innovative approaches to multicultural intelligence that will yield actionable solutions for clients and industry forums. She will also oversee the continued development of Nielsen\u2019s Diverse Intelligence Series, a sequence of reports that provide marketers a closer look at today’s increasingly multicultural population and has become an industry staple, helping brands delve deeper into additional facets of multicultural consumer behavior. Gil will also work closely with Nielsen\u2019s data and measurement sciences to help strengthen the company\u2019s competency in ethnic segment research.<\/p>\n She joined Nielsen in 2004 and most recently served as Senior Vice President, Public Affairs and Government Relations. Prior to joining Nielsen, she was a senior member of former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa\u2019s political campaign team and part of his historic victory in 2005. She also served as Press Secretary for the speaker of the California State Assembly and was Director of Public Affairs and Community Outreach for Telemundo stations in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
