Mary Ritti is leaving her position as vice president of communications at Snapchat. Ritti joined Snap six years ago and will stay on at the company until the end of the year until a replacement is found.

Former Carat global digital and data chief James Harris has been appointed  global chief strategy officer by Mindshare. At Carat, he oversaw the agency network’s digital capabilities and drove digital strategy and solutions.

 

 

 

 

Elias Pour has been named chief marketing officer by Zalora. He previously worked at Red Bull as head of digital and will relocate  to South East Asia from Australia.

 

 

 

 

 

Tremor Video DSP just announced the appointment of Tal Mor as their Chief Technology Officer. Mor comes to this position with over 20 years of experience in business and technology, including as CTO at Tremor Video DSP’s sister company, Taptica.

 

 

 

 

 

What: Toyota has teamed with Saatchi & Saatchi to produce a magazine insert promoting the new Camry.
Why it matters: It’s the first time an immersive, interactive insert has been made. Its appealing technological features are meant to create interest in the new Camry, and could set a new creative path for other car manufacturers.

In a never-before-seen creative effort, Saatchi & Saatchi has created a 3D handmade insert to promote Toyota‘s new Camry.

The firm had to request assistance from dimensional print marketing firm Structural Graphics, and putting the print ad together required over 8 months of research. 50,000 inserts were modeled off the interior of the Camry, including all sorts of features to create the illusion of a real experience. Users first open the insert by putting their thumbs on metallic door sensors, which activate a leather scent, measure heart rate, and send data to a monitor that registers heartbeat with accompanying LCD lights and sounds.

Subscribers of the women’s lifestyle magazine InStyle received these inserts in its March issue.  This magazine was selected based on Toyota’s and Saatchi’s strong relationship with Meredith, formerly Time Inc., and the magazine’s editorial theme of design and fashion focus.

Gonzalez_FernadoFormer senior producer in Havana of The Associated Press, Fernando Gonzalez, has been appointed as regional video editor for Latin America. Gonzalez will lead AP’s video newsgathering operation as the news cooperative expands its video coverage across Latin America. Gonzalez, a native of Uruguay, will be based in Washington, D.C.

Havas Worldwide has appointed  Gian Carlo Lanfranco and Rolando Córdova  as its creative directors NY.  Previously, the executives have work for the French agency Fred & Farid Group with the global account of Orangina.

jorge borrero -Phantasia/Wunderman Peru has named Jorge Borrero as its new creative director. Borrero has previously worked for the Spanish agencies TBWA Madrid, Diluvia, Leo Burnett and Bangers Agency. Borrero will report to José Aburto, general creative director of the company.

Pablo del Campo -Saatchi & Saatchi has appointed Pablo del Campo as creative global director. Del Campo founded Saatchi & Saatchi Buenos Aires in 2000 and has been working as regional creative director for Latin America since 2007.

Gustavo Vidal -Telecom Argentina has appointed Gustavo Vidal  as its new director for big clients. He will be in charge of the mobile and traditional communications´solutions for the corporate environment and the Argentinean Government.
