Suarez is based in Miami. Previously Suarez worked as Sales Director at MediaDesk a DSP owned by media ad placement firm U.S. Media Consulting.

 

 

9562177204_e38f53fca5_b-450x299VICE is setting up a Miami operation that will also act as coordinator for VICE’s U.S. Hispanic youth offerings as well as VICE’s existing Latin and South American operations, which currently span from Mexico to Brazil.The new bureau will be responsible for expanding VICE’s roster of channels in the region, and producing hundreds of hours of programming per year, covering the underreported stories and breaking news that matters most to young people. A spokes person at VICE tells Portada that Dan Perry will be in charge of Sales/Business Development in the Miami office.

descarga (6)Travis Johnson, CEO of mobile agency, Mnet, has been named Global Head of Mobile for IPG Mediabrands, and will be relocating to New York in July to take up the new position.Johnson has been with the Mediabrands family for ten years – holding various digital roles as well as a stint as Commercial Director for Mediabrands Australia and prior that, Managing Director of UM.In his most recent role at the helm of Mnet, he leads a team of 60 professionals across Australia, providing client services ranging from business plan articulation to mobile strategy, development, commerce, deployment, measurement, media and analytics – driving the overall direction and capabilities of the agency to be world class. In his new position, Johnson’s core responsibilities will be to leverage the group’s proprietary technologies and patents – including HARK™ second-screen audio watermarking technology, mobile campaign management platform, content management systems and social integration technologies – in order to grow mobile capabilities in key Mediabrands markets globally. He will be charged with creating a global network of mobile offices to collaborate and create – exporting what has been hugely successful in Australia to the rest of the world.

kYrPoJnL_400x400Procter & Gamble brands separation will come faster than expected .The company is projecting that this brands’  will total 14% of sales, equivalent to US$11.5 billion million. This means 10% more than announced in August, or, in other words, US$ 8.2 billion more. In a presentations to the Consumer Analyst Group held in Boca Raton, Florida, the CFO of P&G Jon Moeller said the company expects to have ” negotiated or announced ” their brands separations or withdrawals for the summer, almost a year after the announcement, “and having completed sales, mergers or derivations of brands by July 2016.To date, P&G has announced separations of 35 of its 100 brands, even big players like Duracell and Iams to smaller ones, like Avril Lavigne’s fragrance license or medical service MDVIP.

descarga (1)Huerta MAGGI smashed potatoes has obtained its certification without wheat, oat, barley and rye (TACC) so that people who have celiac disease can also enjoy it. The brand was registered on the Registro Nacional de Productos Alimenticios “libres de gluten” (Argentine National Registry of “gluten free”)  and has also been endorsed by Autoridad Sanitaria de Aplicación( Health Authority of Application.). The new packaging has included  the logo that identifies it as suitable product for celiacs.

descargaPizza chain Papa John’s has selected Interpublic’s Initiative as its global new media agency. Initiative’s will focus on strategy and buying for digital and traditional media and social.The pizza retailer spends about US $130 million on ads annually, according to Kantar.The selection came without a formal review. The incumbent was Zimmerman Advertising, a Fort Lauderdale, FL-based agency. Initiative will handle the account out of its New York office. PapaJohn’s is present in most Latin American countries but not in Brazil and Argentina.

Marca Lamasney is joining Richards / Lerma, an independent agency originated in the United States with offices in Mexico. Richards / Lerma was founded six years ago by Pete Lerma. The agency is part of The Richards group, “the largest independent media group in America.” After six years of being an independent agency working for clients such as Bimbo, P&G, Abbott , Obela, and Bonafont among others, Marca Lamasney takes the next step by joining efforts and experiences with the American agency Richards / Lerma, which has offices in Dallas, Buenos Aires and Mexico DF. In Mexico, is in charge of brands such as Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’s and projects for Google, among others. Aldo Quevedo and William Tragant, founder of Fury in Buenos Aires, and partner of Richards / Lerma will be in charge of the creative leadership of the three offices. In Mexico, the agency will be led by David Ravelo and Lourdes Lamasney. The agency operates under the name of Richards / Lerma Mexico.

Ld-G0Des_400x400Ogilvy Brazil has just added group Air France-KLM airline to its portfolio. The new account will be handled from Rio de Janeiro offices, which since early last year have been operating as Air France agency in Brazil, under CEO Luis Carlos Francos leadership.
