He will report directly to Ester Rabinovici, Principal officer of the agency. His broad experience in media, publishing and business development will be the key to expand the global network of clients the agency has acquired succesfully during the past 15 years. Prior to joining this firm, Chala worked for Latin Trade Group, Televisa Publishing and BrandInk Media in Puerto Rico.
descarga (1)Vice Media has hired a former Discovery Communications executive to oversee the youth-focused media group’s international expansion, including a push into television.James Rosenstock has joined the Brooklyn-based company as executive vice-president for international and corporate development. At Discovery he oversaw a US$3bn portfolio of international deals, including the US TV company’s acquisitions of Eurosport and SBS Nordic. Mr Rosenstock also worked at Sony and Credit Suisse.

He also worked on digital departments of various advertising agencies such as Grey / G2 Argentina, Young & Rubicam and Wunderman. He created his own digital agency Polite Buenos Aires.

descarga (7)Gary Pacheco joins the network as Station Manager of WMBC-Azteca New York. Gary Pacheco is a Senior Sales and Marketing Manager with expertise in the NY Hispanic Market. He was recently self-employed at his own Sales and Marketing company. From 2003 to 2010 he was General Sales Manager for Univision Radio’s NY Cluster of Stations, and General Sales Manager at Radio Unica-NY from 1999 to 2003. Pacheco has also worked at Euro RSCG, CreatAbility and Siboney Advertising.

Erin Cook joins as Vice President of Network and National Spot Sales in Dallas. For six years, Cook was Media Supervisor at SpotPlus, where she oversaw media placement for accounts such as Pizza Hut and Pepsi across multiple markets. Her most current role was Account Executive for Liberman Broadcasting.

Joe Jaime joins the Chicago office as Vice President of Network and Spot Sales – Midwest. Jaime most recently served as National Sales Manager at WFLD/WPWR. Before that he was National Sales Manager and Local Sales Manager at KXTX – Telemundo in Dallas. He began his career in Chicago as a Media Services Representative at Target.

Renee_Mizrahi_HeadshotRenée Mizrahi was named Vice President, integrated Marketing and Ad Sales team. Renée has over 15 years of experience in mobile, digital and television ad sales marketing. Recently, she served as Vice President, Integrated Marketing & Account Services at start-up Viggle. Previously, Renée worked at CBS Interactive where she was the Director of Marketing responsible for CBS Interactive corporate marketing positioning & custom solutions lead for CBS’ Entertainment and Sports brands. She has also held marketing positions at media companies including The Knot Inc., Star Magazine, and Meredith Corporation. Renée is a graduate of Pace University with a Bachelors of Business Administration.

Chris OwenChris Owen has been appointed as the other Account executive. He joins El Rey Network with almost a decade of sales and agency experience. He recently worked for ESPN where he pitched sponsorships for the Global Expansion of ESPN X Games to blue chip companies. Prior to ESPN, Chris worked for MTV, MTV2 and mtvU at Viacom. He began his media career at Zenithmedia, progressing from an entry-level role to Sr. Buyer in just three years where he helped transition two major accounts, Nestléand 20th Century FOX to the agency.

They will all report to Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing , Michael Finn.

Roberto Siewczynski will lead Catapult’s new multicultural business unit “CatapultVista” as its’ Executive Vice President . He will absorb the personnel and clients of PanaVista, formerly a separate multicultural agency under the Epsilon umbrella. PanaVista provided Hispanic shopper and promotions expertise for clients including The Clorox Company (Clorox, Pine-Sol, Kingsford, Hidden Valley Ranch), GlaxoSmithKline, and ConAgra. The agency was also known for ‘NVista, a qualitative and quantitative study on Hispanic Shoppers that is now in its fifth year. CatapultVista’s office will be headquartered at 1255 Corporate Drive Suite #250 in Irving TX.

m. sepulvedaMaytte Sepulveda joins Vme TV with the new program “Hola Maytte.” The show will focus on providing audiences with motivational and inspirational content for self-improvement. The motivational speaker will join the network’s lineup in March. Ms. Sepulveda has had radio and television programs in the US and South America during the past two decades, in addition to publishing books that focus on hope, change and self-improvement. She also serves as a Peace Ambassador for the United Nations “World Peace Initiative for Women.”

ComScore named company president Serge Matta as its’ new chief executive as part of an executive restructuring, swinging to a fourth-quarter profit. Mr. Matta has worked at comScore since 1999 and was appointed president last June. He was key factor in expanding the company’s telecom solutions globally.

Magid Abraham was appointed ComScore’s executive chairman , taking over the role from co-founder Gian Fulgoni. Fulgoni will serve as chairman and remain on the board.Abraham had previously served for Comscore as CEO and co-founder. All appointments are effective March 1.

Boris Gartner was named vice president and general manager of La Fabrica UCI, Univision Communicatios Inc.’s new digital venture .He will report to Isaac Lee, president Univision News and Fusion, and Mehul Nagrani, senior vice president and general manager, Digital. He will have the responsibility of developing digital brands with alternative content offerings in both English and Spanish. La Fabrica UCI will operate from production facilities in New York and Miami. The company will create content through partnerships, acquisitions and in-house content development.

He has also developed breakthrough advertising creative, sponsorships and programming to foster the explosive growth of Modelo Especial beer and other beer brands in the US market among Hispanic and General Market consumers.

Ronald MendezRonald Mendez is the new Managing Director of Marketing and Business Development at Out of Home Company Starlite Media. He is based in New York. Until last week Mendez worked as VP Group Account Director at Havas Media in New York City, managing several accounts including Philips.

 

Daniel Rosas Ocejo, until  recently Multicultural Marketing Director at Kellogg’s, launched his own company Bebenook.com based in Panama City. Bebenook.com is a e-commerce site offering all mothers need for their babies (diapers, shampoo etc). The goods are delivered to the home via a private distribution network.

Steve MillermanSteve Millerman has joined Prime Access as the agency’s CEO.  He previously worked at  Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, where most recently he led the cross-cultural marketing capability.As head of cross-cultural at Novartis, Millerman, a speaker at last year’s Portada’s 6th Annual Hispanic Advertising and Media Conference last year,  oversaw corporate and brand-specific strategy across key US ethnic groups.

 

TerraDigital Media company Terra announced the promotion of the current Products Director, Luciane Aquino, as the new Chief Media Officer (CMO) and Rafael Kuhn as the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In her new role, Luciane Aquino will lead Editorial, Terra TV, Content Alliances & Negotiation and Mobile & Social Media, as well as Portal Products.

Univision Communications announced that Jorge Viera, “Noticiero Univision” (Univision News) correspondent, will join WXTV Univision 41’s primetime newscasts as a reporter effective Monday, September 2, 2013. Beginning Monday, September 16, 2013, he will co-anchor the 11 p.m. newscast alongside EMMY award-winning Adriana Vargas. Veteran news anchor Rafael Pineda will continue to co-anchor the 6 p.m. newscast and work on special assignments.

Angelica Balderas has been named senior vice president of integrated marketing solutions at Entravision Communications in Sacramento.

Univision Communications also  announced that Lara Migliassi has been promoted to senior vice president, Corporate Marketing. Migliassi, who has been part of Univision’s marketing team for 10 years, most recently served as vice president, Corporate Marketing for the past two years. Migliassi will continue to be based in Univision’s Miami office and report to Ruth Gaviria, executive vice president, Corporate Marketing.
