The Kraft Heinz Company has appointed Miguel Patricio as CEO effective July 1, 2019. Patricio will succeed Bernardo Hees. Patricio will join the company after a successful career spanning two decades at Anheuser-Busch InBev, where he most recently served as Global CMO.

 

 

 

 

Digital trading platform Gumtree has announced the appointment of newly-installed CMO Claire Howard-Jones, who has assumed responsibility for marketing across Gumtree’s full product portfolio. She has two decades of experience with brands such as eBay, Amazon, Sainsbury’s, and British Airways.

 

 

 

Snapchat has named former McDonald’s marketer Kenny Mitchell as its first CMO. Mitchell will report directly to founder Evan Spiegel. He will be tasked with leading all consumer and product marketing for the business and its flagship app.

 

 

 

Amazon has hired Andrew Saunders to head its entertainment marketing division. Saunders has been tasked to educate customers by “building meaningful connections for them across entertainment and culture”. The marketer previously served as head of global brand strategy and marketing at Tastemade, a digital food and travel publisher.

 

 

 

LatinWorks, one of Austin’s most recognized advertising firms, announced that it is changing its name to Third Ear as part of a rebranding effort aimed at expanding its market capabilities. The decision is is not being directed by LatinWorks’ parent company, Omnicom Group, according to co-founder and CEO Manny Flores.

 

 

 

Omnicom Group media agency OMD USA is cutting five senior executive positions. The jobs being eliminated are: OMD East President Patty Sachs; OMD West President Greg Castronuovo; OMD Midwest President Lisa Bradner, CMO Laurel Rossi; and a managing director role at OMD Create, the agency’s innovation and prototyping unit, now held by Kerry Perse. The regional teams will report directly to OMD USA CEO John Osborn.

descarga-1Global snack maker Mondelez International Inc. may be acquired by food company Kraft Heinz Co., according to Adage. The magazine Bilanz reported on the possible takeover, citing a person it didn’t identify.If the deal were to take place, it would bring together well-known brands including Heinz ketchup, Kraft macaroni and cheese, Oscar Mayer meats, Oreo cookies and Ritz crackers.  In 2012 Kraft spinned off Mondelez and later in 2015 it merged with Heinz

Amgen reviews the media business every three years .Amgen spent nearly US$136 million on measured media in the U.S., according to Kantar Media in 2015.

descarga-3Following the successes of its first two Super Bowl appearances, Wix.com Ltd. announced that it will return to the Super Bowl marketing lineup with a new TV spot airing during the FOX broadcast of Super Bowl LI, Sunday, February 5, 2017.  Wix will again depart from the traditional client-agency route for their third Super Bowl ad for a campaign expected to make an impact during the game and well beyond. Wix has a winning tradition of working with major sports brands and events. Earlier in 2016, Wix partnered with the New York Yankees to help find the #BiggestYankeesFan. The company also has sponsorships with the City Football Group, including Manchester City FC, New York City FC and Melbourne City FC.

dpnemsdt_400x400Coty has appointed Anomaly as its global creative agency partner for the Sally Hansen brand, following a review. The agency will handle TV, print, social, owned channels and in-store. Anomaly will also handle communications planning and media strategy for the brand.The work is being led out of Anomaly’s New York office. Last September, Coty appointed Publicis Media as its lead media agency globally. Publicis Media’s Zenith leads the assignment which includes the current Coty brands and P&G Specialty Beauty Business* brand portfolio being acquired by Coty.

Iturriaga has over 19 years experience working in the advertising sales  business, having been working at Mexico’s TV Azteca as director of national sales, a position in which he was in touch with many free-to-air (FTA) TV advertisers and ad agencies in the country.In Mexico, Cinemax offers exclusive access to all HBO and MAX series, such as Game of Thrones, in addition to films from Warner Bros, Disney Studios, Universal Pictures or Sony Pictures, among other production houses.

Eduardo Pelleissone as EVP of Global Operations. In this role, Mr. Pelleissone will have direct accountability for the Company’s supply chain, quality, procurement and operations functions in North America and globally. Mr. Pelleissone joined Heinz in July 2013 as Head of Operations.

Francisco Sa as Zone President of Latin America. Mr. Sa joined Heinz in June 2014 as Zone President of Heinz Latin America. Mr. Sa served as Zone President for AB InBev’s Latin America South business from 2012 to 2014.
