46b1cc323b4965eda0a1ad6fc080448a_400x400Omnicom Media Group Mexico has announced significant changes and appointments, as well as a new OMG operations area. In addition, it was established that Trading & Operations is an area that will serve the two agencies of the group: OMD and PHD. The new executive announcements are listed below.

 

 

365db06Sandra Ramirez, former OMD Mexico Managing Director, has been promoted to Head of Trading & Operations at Omnicom Media Group Mexico. Sandra will be responsible for negotiating with media seeking a better deal for brands and to improve relationships with them.

 

 

martinez-15Patricia Martinez is OMD Mexico new CEO. Patricia, a communications expert with over 25 years’ experience in advertising and media industry, will replace Sandra Ramirez. She has led Mediacom’s strategic areas, as VP of Strategic Planning and Insights / Insights/Regional Managing Partner LATAM (where he also served as Group Director for P&G); as Director of Strategic Communications and Universal McCann, where he lead the Media Intelligence area.

descarga (1)Diana Arboleya-Comas joins OMD Mexico as Director of Strategic Planning for OMD, reporting to Shawn McDonough, Strategy Director of the Group. She was part of the media research area at IBOPE AGB and later, she was TGI Director at Kantar Media researcher. More recently, Diana collaborated with TVAzteca / Grupo Salinas in market research.

 

 

descarga (2)Mindshare Argentina has announced the appointment of Ariel Pelliza as its new Director of Business Planning Insights & Analytics.The executive will lead the area’s team that delivers support in the development of strategies for brands and research ad-hoc projects.32-year old Pelliza has a degree in Advertising from Universidad de Palermo. He joined Mindshare Argentina in 2005 and a year later,he joined the area of Business Planning, a team which he has been coordinating since 2010.

 

16a1a72Teads has announced the appointment of former VC Multichannel executive, Javier Silva, as the Business Director for their new office in Colombia. Silva joins Teads with more than 10 years of experience in advertising, and will play a crucial role in leading and developing Teads’ growing business in Colombia with the objective of becoming the leading video advertising platform in Latin America. This addition to Colombia comes within months of new appointments to both the Brasil and Argentina offices reflecting the rising demand for viewable video advertising.

descarga (5)Mat Baxter was appointed global chief strategy and creative officer of IPG Mediabrands New York team.In his new role he will take control for the network’s overall strategic product.

They will both will report to worldwide chief executive Henry Tajer.

has been appointed CEO of Grey Spain. He will replace John Lynn who is assuming a new role as regional leader for Y&R and Wunderman across Latin America.Grey Spain servs clients such as Procter & Gamble, GlaxoSmithKline, Vodafone, Allianz, Volvo, Domino’s and Big Cola with capabilities across the whole communications spectrum.Javier comes to Grey from VCCP Spain.

Lead2Action – Mexico

publicis -Publicis Groupe has strengthened its digital expertise in the African and LatAm regions with two key acquisitions and an investment.

In LatAm, the company has acquired Lead2Action – a digital agency in Mexico that will be integrated into Publicis Mexico – whose clients include Best Buy, Hasbro, P&G and Banamex,

Lead2Action has over 120 employees .By joining Publicis the agency strengthens its digital offering and global expansion.

Alejandro Cardoso, chief executive for Publicis Worldwide LatAm said: “We are very pleased to announce the acquisition of one of the leading digital agencies in the Mexican market.”

Oftalvist – Spain

proximity-Proximity Madrid has been chosen by Oftalvist to manage integrated brand communication, from the digital marketing positioning development as well as social media strategy development. The agency´s team in charge of the account will be integrated by Cristina Esteras – client services director-, Virginia Uriarte-account supervisor- and Susana Perez-executive creative director-.

To accomplish this, the Madrid-based agency will develop the brand´s digital strategy by focusing on the creation of a new site and locating the brand in the digital ecosystem with suitable content for blogs and social networking. In addition, Proximity will be responsible for the offline section with the new corporate identity’s development in print, radio, corporate material, POS and others.

Telefónica – Argentina

telefonica-Telefónica Group has chosen  Zenith agency in Argentina to manage its’ media investment. Zenith, with a wide experience both globally and locally, will be the new media partner from January 1, 2015 and will coordinate the company´s advertising communication campaign strategy with Telefonica’s  media management in charge of  Gonzalo Careaga.

The competition between four agencies concluded with the awarding to Publicis Group,  aimed to find the best partner to provide a comprehensive solution to the entire Group. Agency MindShare, from WPP, will continue to serve the account  until December 31st.

Tena-Saba-Spain

BBDO-Contrapunto BBDO is adding Saba and Tena to its’ client portfolio. The account will be handled by Leticia García – customer service director-, Marco Dávila- strategic planning frame-, Luis Ribo-vice president and creative general director and Paola Figueroa- creative director -.

Big Cola – Spain – Latin America

grey -International beverage producer Aje has chosen agency Grey Spain to manage Big Cola global account. The agency will develop the Big Cola’s communication strategy and will be responsible for digital content and other activities that will be implemented and adapted in different markets throughout Latin America, Asia and Africa.

The account will be handled by Grey Madrid, which will coordinate all actions and adaptations to local agencies in each of the countries where the brand operates. The creative team assigned to the account will be led by Antonio Montero and EnricNel.lo. Meanwhile, Ramon Ollé will be in charge of strategy and Damien Lucas will be the account’s international director.
