El Nuevo Constructor, a Spanish-language monthly magazine with a circulation of 36,000 is folding. After eleven years, publisher Editorial Latin Press decided to pull the plug. The publication’s website says that the main reason for the closing are “the many difficulties facing the construction industry in the United States today.” Before Editorial Latin Press, El Nuevo Constructor was owned by B2B publisher Hanley Wood.
There is only one magazine remaining almost exclusively targeting the Home Improvement Category: ConstruGuia. ConstrugGuia has distribution partnerships with Home Depot and 7-Eleven. ConstruGuia was launched in 2007 with a circulation of 100,000 in 400 Home Depot® stores. Since then its distribution has increased to 325,000. Construguia also has a digital and radio presence in 114 stations in 84 Hispanic markets.
