Munoz has worked for brands like AT&T, Pepsico and The Coca-Cola Company. He most recently served as president and chief operating officer of CSX Corporation. Munoz also served as a director at CSX. He has served on the board of directors for United Continental Holdings, Inc. since 2010 and served on the board of directors of Continental Airlines, Inc. since 2004.

MundoMax will now assume sales and marketing responsibilities for KWHY-TV, Channel 22, the MundoMax flagship station in Los Angeles, along with KUVM-CD, Channel 34, which serves the Houston DMA, in cooperation with existing station management. For that matter, MundoMax will have a new sales structure headquartered in New York, with offices in Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami, effective September 1, 2015.

The NBA spent US$135.8 million on measured media last year, up from US$93.6 million in 2013, according to Kantar Media.  Media Storm was only contracted to work with the NBA for the 2014/15 seaso. SMG is expected to handle the account via its sports marketing practice, which is called “Sports at SMG.”The NBA’s lead creative agency is Translation, which won the account in December, replacing Omnicom’sGoodby Silverstein & Partners, which had been the NBA’s agency of record since 2007.

The goal is primarily to pique consumer’s interest.Twitter’s buy button debuted late last year, and retailers like Home Depot and Burberry, as well as artists such as Eminem and Pharrell have used the buy button to sell products.Coty has worked with Mr. Perry’s two other fragrance lines, and has experimented with pop-up shops before. Last year, Coty and Marc Jacobs created a pop-up shop in Soho to promote Daisy. This time, Coty promoted the brand by extending the relationship between Ms. Perry and her followers. The fragrance will hit retailers like Walgreens, Kohl’s and Macy’s once the limited availability on Twitter runs out.

McDonald’s lead Hispanic agency, Alma in Miami, has rolled out “A Little Lovin’,” a three-minute bachata musical starring the 20-year-old Dominican-American singer Leslie Grace. At the beginning, she is seen sitting in McDonald’s with a case of writer’s block, but a McDonald’s employee (played by Daniel “Cloud” Campos, who also was the director and choreographer) soon inspires her to find “A Little Lovin’ ” all around. The spot will premiered during Thursday’s broadcast of Premios Juventud on Univision.Sony Music Entertainment repurposed Grace’s “Solita Me Voy” song for the spot.

Uribe to its board of directors, effective July 1, 2015.   Uribe is the global productivity and organization transformation officer of The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G).  He has been with the company for over 30 years in various general management and operating positions, including group president, Latin America and vice president, customer business development and marketing, Latin America.  Additionally, he held a number of management positions with P&G in countries around the world, including Switzerland, Malaysia, Cyprus, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela and Colombia, his native country. Uribe is a director of: Grupo Argos, a Colombian holding company; Carvajal S.A., a manufacturer of text books, paper products and office equipment; and United Way Worldwide.  He has a bachelor’s degree in management engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia and a MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati. Uribe’s appointment reinforces the diversity of Ingredion’s board.

Univision Communications Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America, has announced two key appointments that will strengthen its Local Media and Political and Advocacy Sales efforts:

An Officer of the Company, Valle will remain based in Los Angeles and will report to Keith Turner, president, Advertising Sales & Marketing for UCI. Valle served as president of Univision Radio since 2011. Prior to Univision, he served as president and general manager of KVEA. Earlier in his career, Valle served as vice president and general manager of various numerous radio stations with responsibility for sales, content and operations.

Jaime Jiménez, EVP, Univision Local Media, will assume responsibilities for Univision Radio content and Univision Radio’s operating hubs in Los Angeles, Miami and San Antonio. Jiménez will continue to be based in Los Angeles reporting to Kevin Cuddihy, president, Univision Local Media. In his new role, Jiménez will oversee radio content for the leading Hispanic radio group in the U.S., which includes 67 radio stations in 16 of the top 25 U.S. Hispanic markets and Puerto Rico, as well as Univision Radio’s operating hubs in Los Angeles, Miami and San Antonio.Jiménez has over 20 years of experience in Radio and Television. Prior to this role, he served as EVP of Local Media. He previously served as SVP, GM for Univision’s radio cluster in LA, general manager for Univision’s local television stations in San Francisco and as the local sales manager for Univision’s flagship station KMEX Univision 34 and KFTR UniMas 46 in Los Angeles.

Steve Rossi, a veteran newspaper executive, has been appointed CEO of Digital First Media, the company that operates the Bay Area News Group and its digital and newspaper properties, including this newspaper.Rossi succeeds current CEO John Paton effective July 1. Paton is retiring from DFM on June 30. Since January 2014, Rossi, who is based in San Jose, has served as president and chief operating officer of DFM, which manages more than 800 print and online products serving 67 million readers each month.

Lagnado will become the company’s first global CMO since Mary Dillon left in 2010.

In his last role, he led Mediabrands’ three global agencies—UM, Initiative and BPN—and was responsible for global clients based outside the U.S., including Unilever and BMW. Earlier in his career, he was global marketing director of Barclays and also worked in television, most recently as ITV’s commercial and marketing director.

Herrera-Flanigan will be based in Washington D.C. and report to Jonathan Schwartz, general counsel & executive vice president, Government Relations.In this newly created position, Herrera-Flanigan will oversee the UCI Washington, D.C. office, where she will lead the Company’s federal and state government relations efforts and focus on developing strategies for addressing the key public policy issues impacting the Company and the U.S. Hispanic community.Bert Gomez, senior vice president, Federal & State Government Relations, and Belinda Garza, vice president, Government Relations and Public Engagement – who have been instrumental in building UCI’s political reach in Congress and at the state level – will report directly to Herrera-Flanigan.

Cartagena joined Univision in 2011 and was previously VP of corporate marketing.

descargaTelemundo has announced the promotion of Glenda Pacanins to Senior Vice President, Programming & Content and Leonor Sotillo to Senior Vice President, Programming Strategy.  Pacanins and Sotillo will continue to report to Jesus Torres Viera, Executive Vice President, Programming and Content, TELEMUNDO Network.In this newly created role, Pacanins will continue to be responsible for program content and market trend analysis in support of strategic program planning.  She also will develop, communicate and execute the network’s overall programming and content strategy and generate new content strategies working closely with key network teams to drive growth.  In addition, Pacanins will collaborate on scripted and non-scripted content and work closely with the network’s sales and IMS teams on revenue-driving ideas, as well as the network’s research team on analysis of in-house, industry, competitive and market data.Previously, Pacanins was Vice President, Programming Strategy Integration.  Prior to that, she was the Owner/Director of Ilumina LLC, a media and marketing consultancy firm and worked at Univision, where she worked in a variety of roles from Program Production and Development to Marketing Communications.

descarga (1)Sotillo was previously Vice President, Programming and Strategy.  In this newly created role, she was responsible for strategic analysis of programming development and planning, as well as ideation and execution of tactical programming strategies.  She worked closely with the Telemundo Studios team to ensure that the scripted development pipeline is aligned with the Network’s programming strategy.  Sotillo was the principal liaison between programming and the Telemundo Studios team for all current scripted programming, and worked closely with the promotions team to provide strategic feedback related to novela launch campaigns, daily promos and program stunts.Prior to her position as Vice President, Programming and Strategy, Sotillo worked with the network’s Programming team as Director of Novela Programming and in the International Cable group when she joined TELEMUNDO in 2005. Sotillo began her career in 1988 as a telenovela producer and programming director at Venezuela’s Radio Caracas Television (RCTV), one of the main broadcast networks in the country.
