• Crown Imports

Beginning this month, Horizon Media will partner with Crown as Agency of Record for media to help maximize brand awareness, consideration and purchase intent for the entire Crown portfolio, which includes Corona Extra, the number one imported beer, Corona Light, Modelo Especial, Negra Modelo, Pacifico, St. Pauli Girl and Tsingtao.

  • Nissan

Nissan North America, Inc. today announced the launch of a new "A to Z Year-End Sales Event," which is on now at Nissan dealers nationwide. The event will be supported with a national advertising campaign with broadcast spots set for airing on national cable networks including Bravo, Comedy Central, Discovery, ESPN, ESPN2, Food Network, FX, HGTV, MSNBC, SCI-FI, The History Channel, TBS, TNT and USA.

Along with the national cable media, the A to Z Year-End Sales Event spots will air on prime time T.V. and interactive media. Other media support includes online homepage takeovers, Hispanic television and radio, paid search and point-of-purchase displays. The campaign was created in conjunction with Zimmerman Advertising, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.


  • Rock en Español

X1FM Rock en Español (x1fm.com/rockenespanol), is a new Web site that allows users to interact around Spanish-language rock music, from listening to classics and new songs to watching videos and chatting with other fans of the genre.

The channel is part of the X1FM Network of Internet stations — launched by Latino investors in San Diego a few weeks ago — that combines audio and video thanks to the Internet. X1FM has its studios in National City. Besides the Spanish-language rock channel, X1FM also has alternative rock, electrónica, classic rock and other genres.

The Spanish-language programming on X1FM is commercial-free, but the site will have banner ads in the future.


  • Association of Hispanic Healthcare Executives

The Association of Hispanic Healthcare Executives (http://www.AHHE.org ) and the National Hispanic Chamber of Commerce on Health ( http://www.NHCCH.com ) today announced the launching of their social media campaign, which will partner Hispanic media, the country's Hispanic professional health associations and Hispanic consumers. The launching of the partnership coincides with the appointment of Mirian Zavala, RN, MS, Doctoral Candidate, as the chair of AHHE's Policy Committee.


  • NexCen

US fashion retailer NexCen Brands has introduced a Spanish-language version of its NexCen Franchise Portal Web site. The company said that developing the bilingual Web portal was part of NexCen's ongoing commitment to attracting diverse franchisees. The new Spanish-language Web portal displays global opportunities for becoming a franchisee with the firm. Visitors to the Web portal can also sign up for NexCen franchise events and seminars, as well as NexCen's social network and mailing list.
