  • Luxottica – Global

Luxottica, the owner of the Ray-Ban and Oakley brands and the Sunglass Hut stores, has launched a review of its global media planning and buying arrangements.

  • Four Seasons Hotels – Global

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has picked TBWAWorldwide to handle its global advertising and CRM account. TBWA will be responsible for handling the chain's global advertising, working across its global brand, local marketing, CRM and creative design.
The network will also oversee tactical work for local hotels and support for new projects, of which Four Seasons has more than 50 in development. Four Seasons is expected to appoint a media agency to work alongside TBWA, but this has yet to be confirmed.

  • General Motors – Global

General Motors has confirmed it is stopping its $10 million media spend with Facebook. A spokesman for GM told Media Week the company "had reassessed our Facebook advertising plans and by mid-year we will no longer be advertising on Facebook".
Four months ago GM appointed Carat to handle its $3bn global media account, displacing the US incumbent Starcom.
The Brazilian city Belo Horizonte has hired Vero Communications’ Rio de Janeiro office MLA True Communications to handle its communication plans for the international outreach ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

As the third largest metropolitan area in Brazil, Belo Horizonte is one of the 12 host cities of the global football tournament.

  • Ibiza Rocks Group – Global

Ibiza Rocks Group has appointed 7stars to handle its planning and buying. The agency will  handle a marketing campaign to drive up interest in the brand, and support the launch of a new Ibiza night. The marketing campaign will run up until September and is aimed at driving up sales of hotel stays and tickets in Mallorca and Ibiza.

  • Canadian Tourism Commission – Global

The Canadian Tourism Commission has kicked off a review of its estimated usd47 million international advertising arrangements.

  • Queen Nut – Brazil

Queen Nut has appointed Agnelo Pacheco to handle its media buying and planning, and creative strategies in the country.

  • Opticas GMO – Chile

Publicis has been appointed by GMO Chile to manage its creative account in the country. Publicis also works with Movistar, Nestlé (Maggi, Mckay, Pure Life y Nescafé), McDonald’s, P&G, DHL, Petrobras and Lòreal.
