Heineken® has unveiled a new integrated global marketing campaign known as “There’s more behind the star.” Consumers are invited to discover the authentic product stories that are the foundation of an iconic global brand.The new U.S. and global led program is comprised of three new TV commercials, featuring award-winning actor, Benicio Del Toro. Launching in 70+ markets globally, the campaign focuses squarely on the beer, the brand’s rich heritage and Heineken®’s unparalleled international footprint. The humorous spots see Del Toro comparing what is behind his own ‘star’ status to specific stories behind the legendary Heineken® brand. The new commercials were created by Publicis Worldwide and filmed in a variety of locations in Barcelona. The spots will be released in both English and Spanish, alongside two additional pieces of short-form digital content.

JetBlue has announced the start of service to its newest destination Quito, Ecuador. It is the only airline to operate daily flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Quito’s Mariscal Sucre International Airport (UIO). Ecuador becomes the 22 country served by JetBlue, which operates nearly a third of its capacity in the Caribbean and Latin America.Quito Getaways can be booked at http://www.jetblue.com/vacations/quito-ecuador-vacations.
The clothing brand Mango will close its eight stores and four outlets in Colombia, towards the end of March. The move comes after the firm Mercadeo y Moda firm, which markets the brand since 2014 in that Latin American country, has accused the parent company of unfair competition. According to Mercadeo y Moda’s attorney Sergio Rojas, “the shops will disappear because there is no way to sustain them. Colombia was deceived by Mango’s parent company in Spain (Punto Fa SL).” The stores have begun to close in the Latin American country, while the brand’s parent company has announced that they will not abandon that market, but strengthen its presence in it. For the time being, Mango stores in Colombia will close and the ones to be opened will be run by Panamanian company Wisa, although it is still uncertain when there will be opened and where there will be located.
