• Grey Goose – Global

Grey Goose, the premium vodka brand, has appointed R/GA as its global digital agency of record (AOR). The agency will be responsible for developing and executing a digital strategy across multiple channels, including platform development, mobile and social initiatives. The account will be based in R/GA’s Chicago office and will be fully integrated with the agency’s worldwide network.

  • Group M – Global

GroupM has launched a global audience buying platform, Xaxis. Xaxis combines WPP’s demand-side data and technology resources with the trading leverage of the GroupM agencies into a single resource. Xaxis will be led by chief executive Brian Lesser, who previously served as global general manager, Media Innovation Group, WPP’s digital marketing technology company.

  • Pottermore – Global

Sony has partnered with Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling for the launch of Pottermore, a new website that builds an online experience around the Harry Potter books. Pottermore will later incorporate an online shop that will include Harry Potter products as well as offering an outlet for Sony products and services related to Pottermore. The site will launch in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish, with more languages to follow.

  • UNHCR – Global

MEC Global Solutions has been appointed by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to handle its digital media activity globally. The aim of the campaign is to communicate the ‘one (refugee) is too many’ message through online display, search, social, mobile and broadcast. Targeted banners will run across Google Display Network, Adconion, YouTube, Bloomberg, eBay, Financial Times, Reuters, Wall Street Journal, MSN, Yahoo, Skype, CNN, ESPN and MTV.

  • Samsung – Global

Samsung has launched the world’s first mobile 3D advertising campaign to promote its Samsung Galaxy SII smartphone. Created by Starcom and built using Cooliris’s 3D technology, the ad uses lighting, shading, parallax and motion effects.

  • Unilever – Global

Unilever is rolling out a campaign promoting its corporate identity. The global drive, across print and digital, will feature the tagline ‘Small actions. Big difference’ and showcase some of the progress Unilever has made in improving its sustainability credentials. It will also challenge consumers to contribute to this.

  • Sony Ericsson – Chile

Sony Ericsson has appointed Promoplan to manage its creative advertising campaigns. The agency will be in charge of creative works in digital and print media.

  • Publicis Groupe – Ecuador

Publicis Groupe has announced the launch of Publicis Ecuador. Cesar Bettencourt has been named agency Managing Director, and he will report to Alejandro Cardoso, CEO of Publicis Latin America. David Bamballi is named Executive Creative Director, while Macarena Llambí, Mauro Chacón and Leandro Lavizzari complete the creative team.
