  • Asics – Global

Asics, the Japanese sportswear brand, is holding a review of its estimated US$80 million global advertising arrangements. The review will result in the appointment of a lead global creative agency to handle advertising that will begin once the brand’s communications around next year’s Olympics have ended. Agencies are currently involved in meetings as part of the review, which is being run out of the US, where Asics spends around $30 million on advertising.

The brand’s roster of agencies includes Vitro, the San Diego-based shop, which handles US and global advertising; 180 Amsterdam, which was appointed to oversee its global communications for the London Olympic Games earlier this year; and Dentsu, which looks after the business in Japan and Asia.

  • Hyundai  / Microsoft – Global

Hyundai has teamed up with Microsoft Advertising for the launch of its latest global, interactive, multi-screen campaign, ‘New Thinker’s Index’. The ‘New Thinker’s Index’ includes 22 videos featuring a host of celebrities. The campaign supports Hyundai’s new brand positioning ‘New Thinking, New Possibilities’ and focuses on comparing how different people think. It will feature across Microsoft’s MSN, Xbox, Windows Live Messenger and mobile platforms, as well as Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

  • CCA / Saatchi – Global

Australian beverages group Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) has awarded its L&P, Deep Spring and Baker Halls cordial brands to Saatchi & Saatchi, which will take over the advertising duties from Ogilvy.

  • Philips / Carat / MPG – Global

After a review, Philips has divided its more than $100 million global media business between Havas'MPG and the incumbent, Aegis' Carat. MPG will be in charge of the specific geographies in the Americas, France and southern Europe. Carat will continue to provide local media agency services in all other geographies.

  • Deautos.com – Argentina

AGEA´s Deautos.com has launched a new campaign in Argentina “Your site to do it”. ADN and Kasiopea are the agencies in charge of the campaign that will run in TV, radio, print media, mobile and social networks.

  • Gas Natural Fenosa / Contrapunto – Spain

Gas Natural Fenosa has appointed Contrapunto Barcelona to develop its new campaign “We are always there, even if you don´t see us” in Spain. The campaign will run in TV (with 2 spots), radio, print and digital media. The goal is to achieve more residential customers and to win loyalty.
