Procter & Gamble – Global
Procter & Gamble Co. is planning to merge or discontinue more than half its brands (between 90-100) and focus on its top 70-80 brands. According to the company, the shift is to drive growth: the top brands have accounted for 90% of company US $83 billion annual sales and 95% of profits over the past three years. The others combined have brought in less than US $100 million in sales annually. This will most probably result in some cutbacks in advertising as well, either consolidating or eliminating some of the agencies that handle those brands. P&G didn’t mention the brands it will shut down.
La Meridional – Argentina
Dentsu will work with La Meridional in Argentina . Dentsu will be in charge of the media strategy and media planning and buying. The agency also works with Toyota, Itaú, Canon (regional) and Bic, among others.
Ford – Brasil
JWT Brazil has appointed new executives to handle Ford account. Paula Peres is the new CRM account director and Dorian Dack is the new strategy director for the Ford account. Sergio Silveira continues as director of the account.
NBCUniversal – US

Atma – Argentina
Atma Argentina is launching a new advertising campaign under the slogan “Ama tu casa” (“Love your house”). FCB Buenos Aires was in charge of the campaign.
Noticias – Argentina
The Argentinean magazine “Noticias” has launched a new advertising campaign for its 25 anniversary. The campaign was produced by the agency Carlos y Dario and will be featured outdoor, TV and print media.
Disney Channel – Latin America
Disney Channel Latin America has launched its new logo. The new logo is part of a global strategy. Disney is looking for a regional personalization in the future as well, according to Nora Tela, marketing vp of The Walt Disney Company for Latin America.
