Mobile Streams, a mobile content retailer that sells apps, games, ebooks, and music through its mobile carrier partners as well as its app store,, announced the launch of PublicAd. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mobile Streams, PublicAd will conduct mobile advertising and marketing activities for the company out of offices in New York and Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Named after "publicidad," the Spanish word for advertising, PublicAd will help advertisers looking to launch services in Latin America. The ad service will monetize ad inventory over mobile internet services and through app-related advertising opportunities on

Initial focus will deal with monetising the advertising inventory created by Mobile Stream's mobile internet services, as well as app centric offerings such as Appitalism.

"We are very excited to launch our PublicAd subsidiary as we believe that over time, advertising will be a significant new revenue stream and growth engine for Mobile Streams," said CEO Simon Buckingham.
