Mexicanal Launches Ad-Supported Web Portal

Joint venture between Castalia Communications and Cablecom.

Mexicanal, the television channel produced by U.S.-based Castalian Communications and Mexico’s Cablecom, is launching a new web portal: https://www.mexicanal.com.

The site will feature information about programming and will also feature news from all around Mexico, blogs, photos, downloadable videos, an immigration guide, and more.

Advertising will be sold by John Perez, SVP of Advertising Sales for Castalia Communications. Farmers Insurance, U.S. Navy, AeroMexico, Marriott Hotels, Mexicana Airlines have already signed on.

The site will feature:

MEXICANAL Programming – Features news from around Mexico, unbiased political reports, culturally significant programs, regional sports coverage and popular entertainment.

Blogs, Photos and Forums – Community leaders are invited to blog, and registered users can send news items, comment on particular subjects as well as stay connected with family or friends through the forums.

Immigration Facts – Offers a Q & A section with an immigration lawyer, as well as a list of regional Mexican federations and consulates in the U.S.
