Impresiones Aéreas Announces Acquisition of Mexico Desconocido

Mexican publisher adds Mexico Desconocido as part of expansion strategy. Plans to strengthens the magazine’s position in the U.S. Hispanic market.

Mexican publisher Grupo Editorial Impresiones Aéreas, one of Mexico's leading magazine publishers, announced its purchase of travel magazine Mexico Desconocido, as well as the tourist guide Cómo y Dónde. The acquisition brings the number of publications in its portfolio to 16.

The publisher will also be producing the magazine and tourist guide's websites in Spanish and English. Mexico Desconocido's website is part of the Terra network.

Sources at Impresiones Aéreas tell Portada® that Mexico Desconocido (total circ. 70,000, U.S. Hispanic circulation 10,000) will strengthen its position in the U.S. Hispanic market by increasing the number of its employees in its Miami office. Impresiones Aéreas will also increase the amount of English-language content on the website www.mexicodesconocido.com.
