IBOPE Media, provider of media measurement services to the Latin America advertising industry, announced today, with the its monthly release of top line audience measurement data, the completion of Puerto Rico’s TV industry digital transition as measured by its electronic meter system panel. The FCC mandated digital conversion process began in the Fall of ‘08 and ended only recently with consumer holiday purchases of new TV equipment to supplement or replace analog TV sets. “Today marks the overcoming of a formidable technological challenge faced by the local TV industry and its TV audience measurement service” says Antonio Wanderley, Regional Director Business Development – IBOPE Media.
