Costa Rican Publishers have formed a new organization called the Asociación Costarricense de Editores de Revistas (ACER), or the Association of Costa Rican Magazine Publishers.
The group hopes to draw greater attention to their medium and underscore the value magazines hold to advertisers seeking to get there message into the public forum.
The ACER, made up of 20 publishing companies will launch officially on November 9, with a seminar examining the magazine's potential as an advertising vehicle. The organization has also developed an ad-campaign with the succinct tagline, “Advertise in Magazines.”
There is no word yet on which platforms the campaign will use to get out its message, though one can only assume that magazine advertising will figure into the mix.
