Telemundo Media announced the appointment of Ruben Keoseyan to Vice President of Content, Telemundo Los Angeles KVEA, effective immediately. Keoseyan will report to Celia Chavez, President and General Manager of KVEA, and will be based in Los Angeles. In this role, Keoseyan will lead KVEA's news department to solidify its competitive position in the market, ensuring the gathering and distribution of high quality news coverage across all platforms. In addition, he will be responsible for ensuring all local newscasts reflect and serve the needs and uniqueness of the Greater Los Angeles Hispanic community. Previously, Keoseyan served as Executive Editor of the largest Spanish-language newspaper in the United States, La Opinión, since 2011. Keoseyan also worked with La Opinión from 2000-2005, as Managing Editor and was later promoted to Executive Editor.

Amy Henderson has been promoted to VP Market Development at San Diego based print and digital media placement firm EPMG. Her prior position was Sr. Account Manager.

Mark Stockdale has been appointed Director U.S. Hispanic Xbox Live, the online service for Xbox 360, at Microsoft. Stockdale previously worked as Director Hispanic Marketing at T-Mobile. Microsoft Corp. recently announced a partnership with  Univision for its  Xbox 360 video game console as it seeks to convert  into an all-purpose media device.

Fernando Gómez, an art director/copywriter who joined d’expósito & Partners, LLC as Associate Creative Director in the summer of 2011, has been promoted to Creative Director of the company.

Univision Communications announced a restructuring of its sales team that will enable it to more effectively pursue new business across all platforms while continuing to serve its existing client base. The announcement was made by Keith Turner, president of Sales & Marketing. In conjunction with the announcement, Univision has named Steve Mandala executive vice president, Advertising Sales. Mandala spent five years as EVP, Cable Entertainment Ad Sales at NBC Universal after eight years as senior vice president/Telemundo Network Sales & Marketing and Affiliate Relations.  Mandala will oversee Univision’s Client Development Group along with Sports Sales and Direct Response advertising.  In addition to Mandala, Turner’s direct reports under the new structure are: Laura Molen (EVP, Network Sales), Roberto Ruiz (SVP, Brand Solutions Team), Mark Dante (EVP, Station Group Sales), Charlie Echeverry (EVP, Interactive Sales) and Lee Davis (EVP, Radio Sales).  Ruiz, a veteran with more than 20 years of marketing experience, will assume leadership of Univision’s Brand Solutions Team, whose scope will be expanded to serve as a resource for the entire Company. Lisa McCarthy, former EVP of the Client Development Group, has left to form her own consulting business, while Graciela Eleta, former SVP of Brand Solutions, will transition to provide consulting to Univision.

Veteran El Nuevo Día journalist David Colón was named Editor of Indice, a new multimedia platform published by Puerto Rico’s Grupo Ferre Rangel, with Crystal Díaz appointed as Associate Marketing Director, and Lourdes Vidal as Sales Manager.

Ms Johanna Öberg will become Managing Director for Metro Puerto Rico, a free daily that was launched last week for the Puerto Rico market.  Öberg will report to Pablo Mazzei, EVP Latin America. Ms Öberg, a member of the group management team at Metro's headquarters in Sweden, has up until now held the position as EVP Global Commercial Director, responsible for maximizing Metro's sales globally and ensuring that all local sales departments have access to best-in-class sales tools.
