Ogilvy has named Eduardo Vieira as Latin America lead for its PR and influence domain.The PR and influence domain in Latin America numbers 125 to 135 people. Vieira will report to Ogilvy PR CEO Stuart Smith and work alongside Horacio Genolet, CEO of Ogilvy Latina and worldwide brand manager for the Coca-Cola account, and Fernando Musa, CEO of the Ogilvy Group Brazil. Before joining Ogilvy, Vieira was CEO and founder of Grupo Ideal, which fellow WPP agency Hill+Knowlton Strategies acquired in 2015. He continues in that role.
Colin Stewart has been elected as the new chairman of the Latin American Travel Association. Stewart’s appointment as chairman, which is now in effect, will see him continue to drive the organisation forward in its mission to grow travel to and around Latin America.Stewart is an airline professional.Today LATA brings together a record 327 members from the UK and overseas including tourism boards, destination management companies, tour operators, airlines and hotel groups.Stewart replaces former LATA chairman Byron Shirto who stepped down last month.
Stingray Digital Group Inc. announced the appointment of Mariana Ferreira as Business Development Director, Latin America, reporting directly to Alejandra Olea, General Manager, Latin America of Stingray. In this newly created role, based in Miami, Mrs. Ferreira will support the growth of the company in Latin America.More recently, Mrs. Ferreira served as Senior Director of Business Development at BLU Products, where she was responsible for doubling the number of carrier partners in one year and increasing customer engagement to 80%.
Florian Adamski has been named global CEO of OMD, succeeding Mainardo de Nardis, who was elevated to the newly created position of vice chairman of Omnicom Media Group, of which OMD is a part.
Adamski’s new role is part of new management team that also includes Monica Karo as the new chief client officer, OMD Worldwide and Kate Stephenson as the new COO, OMD Worldwide.
Florencia Leonetti has joined R / GA as Strategy Director. The executive will lead both Buenos Aires and Chile’s strategy teams. The executive held strategic positions in various advertising agencies such as BBDO Argentina.
José Daniel León was appointed Account General Director at BBDO Panama. The executive joins BBDO Panama from Sancho BBDO, where he served as director of accounts.
Sean Graham has joined Geometry Global as Regional New Business & Shopper Marketing Director. Graham joins the agency to develop the growth of current and future clients from Geometry’s Buenos Aires office. Prior to joining Geometry, Graham held the position of Shopper Marketing Head at Grey Argentina.
